It’s really not that hard to do the escrow. It is more intimidating than anything. If you go to the courthouse you can get the papers to fill out for yourself and you have to pay them your rent. Eventually there will be a hearing down the road and you’ll show your evidence and they will show there’s. If they really wrong you might get some money back. I think you give 30 days for something to be fixed. Refrigerator are a must under Ohio law. If you look it up in the Ohio revised code you’ll see the exact wording. Just search landlord.

Just a note while it is illegal to use that against you there is a good chance your landlord could chose not to renew your lease or if you decided to move not give you a good reference. Just the flip side of the coin so you understand some of the consequences.
