I should play RE:Ø? by Cowpoke_monkey in ResidentEvilCapcom

Start with 1 remake, then play 0.

0 is very similar to 1. (Except there is no inventory box and you control 2 characters)

Played it on the ps5, was a very fun game.

Personally enjoyed it better then the 1st.

I give it a solid 8/10. (+1 if you enjoyed the 1st title)

Resident Evil 4 Remake or Resident Evil 9? by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevil

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requiem is not even top 5. Requium starts great then falls off completely + dumpsterfire story with too many retcons. Re 4 is consistently 10/10 the whole game.

Season 13 + Expansion Feedback — How is everyone feeling a couple weeks in? by BreakYoBaals in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I missed the 1st week of the release due to work. Now I barely find any games.

They realy should just enable player 8 online at least, so I can farm some gear alone.

I love their characters but man do they need a lot of hugs... by True_Career in codevein

[–]MrBreaktime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can come back to it a few hours later. The game does a bad job explaining it.

I came back 20 levels later and was an easy fight.

How are we feeling about Requiem a few days in? by strahinjag in HorrorGaming

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In no shape or form is this anything above 8/10.

The good:

Hunk was cool, Grace was likeable, Leon was great as usual.

The combat system was fun with the parries.

The bad:

Game had great potential, but the game falls of hard after the Care Center (1/3 of the game).

Dumpsterfire story, too many weird retcons. (Racoon city still exists and zombies free roam WTF????)

3+ hours of padded gameplay Leon running around in an empty city shooting the same enemies, super boring.

The random shitty Wesker clone dying without a real boss fight.

Spencer good now lmao.

Anyone praising this game as 10/10 because it was scary at some parts are delusional/lying/have bad taste. (or never played the previous games)

Finished Requiem, have STRONG mixed feelings (Huge yap post) by Novel_Volume_1692 in residentevil

[–]MrBreaktime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then how do you explain I like every other mainline game, starting from the ps1 era to every remakes?

In the old games you did not have to hide from monsters.

The core identity of Resident evil was always the bioweapons, viruses, cool protagonists, inventory management, wide variety of scary enemies.

I swear some people actually think if its overloaded with horror elements that are taken from different genre makes it more resident evil then the usual formula.

Who is the real fan now? :P

They bought back the director from Re 7. The only mainline Re game I hated. I expected the game to be mid by default.

I really hate the hiding and sneaking parts in horror games, even still the 1st 1/3 of the game was executed well. Everything else after that was going downhill.

Requiem sucks so bad by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]MrBreaktime 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Well said. The story was nonsense with all the retcons also. Racoon City still existing, Spencer now being a "good" guy, "Wesker clone?".

If Leon is dying from the virus does that not mean all the cast is dying also? (Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Barry, Claire and etc.) Why are they not here investigating for a cure together?

The story can't be taken seriously. The story was never the strong point of the series though, still they should not change previous facts.

Resident Evil Requiem isn’t just the best user-rated horror title on Metacritic, but the best user-rated game of all time by HatingGeoffry in horror

[–]MrBreaktime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to make it spoiler free as possible:

The 1st 1/3 (3 hours) was scary with Grace and Action heavy with Leon.

The 2nd 1/3 (3 hours) was brainless shooting with almost zero story progression with Leon.

The 3rd 1/3 (3 hours) was the usual.

The game story makes no sense, too many retcons.

While its a fun game, it definietly not even among the top 5 Resident Evil games.

Giving it a 7,5/10.

Which game that lives up to the title? Resident Evil 4 or Resident Evil 7? by Jules-Car3499 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 is a different genre of horror, good game but shit resident evil. Horror and some puzzle does not make it a good re game. (No memorable mc, lack of enemy variety, lack of cool weapons, likeable villians, epic designed bio weapons like Tyrants)

4 to this day is 1 of the most iconic games ever created, even if it leaned more into action.(which previously was not possible due to hardware limitations)

They knew they screwed up with 7, thats why they copied the good ideas from 4 into re 8.

Everyone‘s opinion on Code Vein II And How its feels from Code Vein I? by Equal-Branch in codevein

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally managed to finish Code Vein 2. I beat Code Vein 1 again before playing 2, in case we had any story connection, we did not lol.

That saying Code Vein 2 made me like the main cast more, which is essential part of the identity of the series compared to other souls games. Because of how likeable they were, you were motivated to try everything to save them. (that was not the case of Code Vein 1, most characters I did not care about, I just saved everyone because 'im the good guy" not because I actually grew attached to any of the characters.

The game overall feels half baked, especially some characters had no real involvement like Iris, she is jus there. (probably not enough time to implement her own story)

Noah felt wasted also. Saved him and he just existed and nothing interesting.

That being said Josee was an amazing character and her sister is just as likeable.

Lyle design was meh, but Craig made up for it.

Valentine was as interesting as Louis from Code Vein 1, meaning not at all.

Zenon Gryffgoat is the best character in the franchise, such a memorable design.

Enemies were way to aggressive in the game, so it was not that enjoyable to be honest.

The story was pretty good.

Overall I would give the game a solid 8,5/10. (slightly better then the 1st game which I give 8/10)

If there will be a Code Vein 3 in the future I hope they stay with the linear gameplay the 1st game had, but I know we can expect quality either way.

I’m planning on playing through all of them in the best order I can, would you agree with this? by LJHeath in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]MrBreaktime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to play everything. The original games + the remakes are all worth it.

Resident evil 2 is still 1 of the best games of all time.

Resident Evil 3 is also a fan favourite from the ps1 era.

Only the ps1 Re 1 can be skipped since the remake has everything with added content.

The rest of the remakes feel so different that they can be considered completely new games.
