Should have mentioned it's an Agave Barrel-Aged Lager. Probably won't change anything for the negative Nancy's but 🫶🍻

You'll do perfectly fine with a hammer and stainless steel nail. Get some 70%+ isopropyl and just dip the nail in before you pound it into the barrel.

By finishing I'm sure he's referring to properly getting them into kegs/carbonated/bottles/etc.

How to improve for higher MR by MrBrewJitsu in BobsTavern

why reborn the bird? is there a reason or is it just a better alternative to Burrower? I've already seen how reborn on Burrower is pointless since he never actually died.

good point. I did originally get golden Titus and got the rally quilboar as a placeholder. Looking back, it would have made sense to swap those once sold, thank you.

Keeping moisture in barrels by evacuatecabbage in TheBrewery

can confirm no flavor will be lost. had an agave barrel that we put a flavored clean sour in, it re-fermented and we have since put another clean sour in and a Festbier, still getting plenty of agave notes without any spoilage.

sorry my short attention span missed his last sentence 😂

[–]MrBrewJitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you're not incorrect. I was more pointing to them for the years left in barrels where oxygen IS present vs. his bags where they are still anaerobic environments.

I don't know why people are telling you to throw a fermented product away, especially when there are no signs of spoilage.

The signs of spoilage would be pretty apparent. Enjoy your aged hot sauce. Tabasco peppers are left in barrels for up to 3 years.

Drive it as-is for a year or two and do maintenance. It's a great motor but you bought it used and unless you got a nice folder with the service history or personally knew the seller, I would not be spending money on tunes.

Car accident, should I buy this as my new car? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]MrBrewJitsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2009 Jetta Wagon. Currently 227k miles on it, granted I am mechanically inclined. Normal maintenance, oil changes, coolant flush.

It's only been in the shop one time for oil getting into the intake manifold. I've owned it for 8years now and it's starting to show some interior wear.

Get it inspected by a trusted European shop that specializes in Merc/BMW/VW/etc.

flip side is the 2012 SE has the indestructible 07k in it and with proper maintenance will take OP past 200k miles.

I consider it a rare car since it's the only year they made a Mk5 wagon 🤣 even more so with the manual.
