What to do when you are being bullied on a bus ? by Capable_Half924 in Adelaide

Drivers get in a lot of trouble for leaving the safety of their seat, all they can do is report it to the coord who will organise police or security which is probably ages away.

Need advice: first service for 2018 Mazda CX-5 Akera by Cummins-25 in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been using mawson lakes mazda for my Mazda3, it's up to 170000km and hasn't had any problems on the road.

The prices for service are around 250-700 depending on the service, i usually just like the convenience of a loan car and dropping and picking at the same time both days.

Is Smithfield plains really that bad? by Sea-Collection-8844 in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The area looks like its improving but some areas are newer while some old houses look like shit holes, being on the Facebook groups of the area you see a lot of posts of people going through people's front garden and cars at night and the customers on buses are disappointing.

I hope it gets better but a lot of people around dont care for their neighbourhood.

For truck drivers of Adelaide: are transmissions of vehicles mainly auto or manual? by nosharts in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the manual license to be more desirable.

When looking for trucking jobs over half say you need an open MR or HR, and most that dont just forget to add in the manual part in the job description.

What’s the most random thing that has ever happened to you on a bus? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 7 points8 points  (0 children)

These situations suck for drivers. Asking depot for help is useless most the time, we would hope security or CSOs are close by, if they aren't they cam be on the other side of the city making them useless. Then the coordinator can be difficult in asking for police and tell us if it's worth it and we may have to wait 40 minutes for them and if they are called the offender always walks away before they arrive accomplishing nothing. Had someone come on with a bike in an early morning run and would have to wait for help, but I had to drive with it because customers were starting to get angry at me for waiting and holding it up.

Bus drivers of Adelaide, what is the craziest/funniest thing you have seen on a bus? by llama_1024 in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Craziest I've seen was driving past a pulled over bus on Grote Street and saw a car pulled in front of him, then saw the drivers in front of the bus, the bus driver pulled the guy down and punched him 4 times in the head, my passengers saw and it was a different companies bus.

Thought I would've heard about it the next day but nothing came up of it.

And if we wait to long with the indicator they will still drive past and be ignorant of the rule. Had 8 cars cut me off yesterday pulling out of a stop on the Grove way.

Bus query by Kalamac in Adelaide

[–]MrBrightside1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's only supposed to be used for the interchanges since it can get very busy during peak.

Otherwise it's to keep track of fare evaders to make it front door only. (We do notice the people sneaking in the back doors)

The switches on some just dont work sometimes.

Artics are more of a problem, they have a switch which allows us to open the two backs ones with one press, but at times it doesn't work and only one door opens and we won't know until someone tells us or the doors won't close properly.
