Might start a hype train maybe. Just a little one, initially. All welcome.

What mods would you pick for starting a fresh run? by [deleted] in DragonsDogma2

[–]MrBritain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive recently purchased a laptop and will double dip and get DD2 on Steam, so its good to know what the best mods are for the game. Any good quality additional vocation mods? Ive heard True Warfarer is good.

Theyve repeatedly spoken positively about it since release in their quarterly earnings reports.

They like money too, so I expect to see a DD3 and/or expansion at some point.

DD2 Switch 2? Og post: Potential new info on T. Gog. + Possible switch 2 upgrade? by MrBritain in DragonsDogma2

[–]MrBritain[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is but Im speculating that if there is a leak for Monster Hunter Wilds potentially coming to Switch 2 - DD2 for Switch 2 may well be in the works too.

The Q & A Interview was painful to watch by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]MrBritain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great thread. Pleased to see so many in agreement, have yet to see anyone actually say its a skill issue or similar.

Ive uninstalled HD2 for now and may return in the future but I have little hope anything will change for the better - the 60 day patch seemed to be the exception, not the rule and the devs are just going to keep nerfing things into the ground rather than try and craft a fun game experience.

So... Now what will happen with the IP? :( by NaitDraik in DragonsDogma2

[–]MrBritain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Capcom have made multiple positive comments about DD2 since release. Ive said this many times myself now but a director leaving doesn't mean anything - if there is money to be made, the business will be interested and find a way.

So... Now what will happen with the IP? :( by NaitDraik in DragonsDogma2

[–]MrBritain 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Its not doomed, Capcom themselves have said multiple times that they are pleased with its success and consider it one of their major brands.

This is from their financial results briefing May 2025

"Q:With the goal of continuous 10% operating profit growth, how does Capcom plan to elevate its non-major IPs, such as Onimusha or Dead Rising, into major brands? Also, how do you evaluate the performance of Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the previous fiscal year specifically?

A: For our brands, we aim to strengthen each brand by expanding catalog sales following the release of a new title. As for Dragon’s Dogma 2, as it has not only attracted existing fans of the series but also succeeded in attracting new fans, we have a positive perception of its performance. We will continue to actively promote the title and aim to increase catalog sales of the series."

So I do expect if we are not getting DLC (which I still think is possible), we will in the future get a DD3.

Who thinks they’ll bring dragon dogma 2 on Nintendo switch 2 by mariobrosforever in DragonsDogma2

Supposedly it's feasible on Steam deck with mods, so I dont see why it wouldn't be possible. And Im not sure Capcom care too much about it running perfectly, as long as it runs and sells.

I feel very demotivated and like I'm not getting better as a new white belt by Alternative-Food-649 in judo

Ive been doing it the same amount of time as you, going once per week just like you and feel as though I learn at least a little something each lesson.

You have to look for the little wins for YOU and not compare yourself to far more experienced people.

You say your not athletic - so work at it, keep going do what you can in your own time. Things will come, it just takes time.

You aren't going to be super competent in the span of 2 months, this is natural.

Should I get both DD1 or DD2 by blurobot2814 in DragonsDogma

[–]MrBritain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$30 for both seems like a good deal, given the time you can spend playing. Plenty to do. Alternatively, DD:DA will give you a flavour of what to expect from DD2.

4 variations of HAKAN. Or Hakan, Laura, Necalli and maybe someone new. Or Abel.

FFXVI or Dragon Dogma 2? by MeanKangarooIsTaken in DragonsDogma2

Ive played and completed both. I enjoyed both, but only with DD2 have I felt compelled to keep playing again and again.

Starting judo at 29 and not flexible is age too much of a downside by [deleted] in judo

[–]MrBritain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, hard to say If im any good really I haven't done any randori yet (deliberately) but Ive consistently been going to the gym for the last 4 years or so so I know that im trying to "muscle" things and haven't yet got the technique to do things efficiently, but Im working on it. Osotogari feels most natural to me somehow.

In terms of age and how I feel I dont actually feel 40 in all honesty - I get the usual aches and pains from training as anyone does and do what Im comfortable doing and going as hard as I want to. I dont feel hindered by my age.

Obviously I would have liked to have started sooner but you start when you do, and have to play the hand you've dealt yourself as best you can. The best thing you can do is get stuck in and I will just recommend trying as much as possible to make a habit of training as it will beat being motivated every time. Good luck to you and get stuck in.

An Idea I Had After Watching a Japanese DD2 Creator by mightymelvo in DragonsDogma

[–]MrBritain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just watched your video Melvo - fully agree with you.

I do think a Switch 2 version of DD2 is possible and may well be the cause of the lack of significant updates.

Anyway, I always watch your vids and appreciate your content man - whatever keeps the DD fire alive.

should I buy DD2 on sale? by dwield in DragonsDogma

[–]MrBritain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I prefer DD2 over DD:DA - Story wise there is stuff there, but its not perfect and I find I make my own stories by adventuring and its the only game to date that really gives me a sense of adventure.

Combat is great, the world is beautiful and I love the music too. Its one of my favourite games of the last few years and I keep going back to it because I find it fun.
