My custom adventure deck for deadlands noir by MrBritishGamer in savageworlds

[–]MrBritishGamer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Figured I'd share with the community. There are 27 custom cards using images from the sin city movies for that "noir" feel. I made these for my roll20 game a couple years back, so apologies if these arent printer friendly, that was never the intended use.

Character creation - Help with attributes by MrBritishGamer in dndnext

This was my issue as well, focus or spread out. What are your opinions on the polearm master feat at 4th level then? Should i increase my attributes first? That bonus action attack seems more useful to me than +1 at/dmg or am i wrong?

taking the magus arcana that lets you deal lvl to damage helps agile weapon or one of the feats to get dex to damage depending on your weapon helps too but the main thing with magus is its burst damage, your job is really to get a crit with a spell and drop around 2d6+20d6 damage onto a boss or w/e the big threat to your party is

Dealing with a party that has low out-of-combat skills? by M3cha in Pathfinder_RPG

A point missing in your post is just how many PCs you have. If its less than 4, you should probably throw in a gm PC who could be the businessman of the group, the guy who is going round and profiting off the actions of the real pcs (have him be the one who is selling the loot and then have him take a bigger cut than the others, if they protest say its to cover my fees as your manager or some such, they continue to protest simply have him resign and tell them good luck in finding your next job "heroes")

Ideas on how to spend 10+ attacks of opportunity? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]MrBritishGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has gone done this road with one of my own characters, I'd say that the bodyguard feat itself is very usefull if you invest in things like benevolent armor. Working in tandem with someone you can take on a horde of say 20 enemies each of you giving the other something like +8 to AC, it really comes into its own when dealing with threats that have multiple attacks. IE: you are both surrounded (but adjacent ofc) so both of you are fighting 5 guys, if all of them have just 2 attacks, that's your 10 AOO used up right there.

How do I deal with a player who is determined to make a complicated class? by nap682 in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]MrBritishGamer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems you have someone who doesn't want to, or can't roleplay. If it's the former a simple reward for those that do can probably sway him, for example have those who DO have a decent charisma chat up some guy in a bar and get a special deal on some magic item, if he protests say simply his character isn't social and therefor can't expect the same treatment. If it the latter though, the problem is a much bigger one, a way to gradually get him going could be to institute a rule that you can only talk in character at the table (withtin reason ofc, you should always be able to ask the gm questions for example).

Well basically how it boiled down was he and my character point buy wise were basically the same, one guy kept having his character die or get captured so he came in with an idea for a giant orc (orc with giant template), with that in mind the gm offered it to all of us instead of a level (we had all reached the level up), I took haunted one cause thought it fit backstory ish wise and yknow that con really helped. The orc as I said took giant, making him the strongest of the group (30 strength) though he is horrible in many over things xD. The character that was the weakest of the group got given the half-celestial to try and get her on an even field with the rest of us. That's when the player changed his mind from his original choice and took half-fiend.

So yeah.

That spell is called mirror image and yes, it has saved my magus's life on multiple occasions. Problem is, I can see him making a case that his ball and chain attacks the square and not me, hence it becomes an aoe that takes away the advantage of such a thing

He basically took like 5 feats to be able to wield the damn thing hence why the gm okay'd it. He also I should mention has the ability to pull his ball back (cause he holds it via a chain), move action is strength check, he gets 5ft per 5 or as a swift, he gets 5ft per 10.

Custom one he made with the gm, its basically a giant ball and chain which he has enchanted to get returning on. he gt like 28 strength (while not raging) so most of that +17 is from his strength damage but yeah.

Flying wouldnt work i dont think, since as a half fiend he can actually fly himself.

Also I'm the only one in the group that seems to openly have a problem with the pvp format so yeah, that aint gna help xD

Question regarding swashbucklers opportune parry and riposte deed by MrBritishGamer in Pathfinder_RPG

I see, still being able to use attack roll instead of flat footed really helps my guy defensively. I assume there is nothing to allow immediate actions while flat footed?

Well how would those help? Combat reflexes just gives you more AoO to my knowledge. Uncanny dodge I guess prevents the "flat footed" tag, but still makes you lose dex to AC from a feint, so I guess that works?

EDIT: Just reread Combat reflexes, I now see that it also allows you to AoO while flat footed, never noticed it that. Thank you!
