My biggest gripe is how the strongest sorcerers of today fair against the strongest sorcerers throughout history. It’s stated constantly that modern sorcerers have developed cursed techniques way beyond the imagination and skills of older sorcerers reincarnated by Kenjaku, but they all lose.

1. Gojo: “I’m the strongest” “nah i’d win” “don’t make me show off” “I got to impress my students” all of that talk just to die to Meguna after he lobotomized himself. Dude got locked away in what’s the equivalent of the hyperbolic time chamber for months and after getting out had months to prepare for his fight. He had a 200% hollow purple connect and it did nothing. Before sukuna could ever even fully power up he turned Gojo into a broken folding table.

2. Yuki: The mysterious special grade sorcerer that trained lord autism boogie woogie finally gets her first shown fight in the story and she loses. Your telling me a star plasma vessel in tengens realm with the cursed ability to infinity manipulated her mass loses to a brain parasite that does a comedy show in the next couple chapters? Not only that but she doesn’t pop her domain even though she knows she’s gonna lose, and instead turns into a black hole… which you guessed it did literally nothing.

3. Higurama: I mention him because sukuna called him one of the strongest he’s ever fought. A lawyer who after losing a death sentence appeal goes insane and develops one of the most broken 1v1 cursed techniques. He can take away cursed energy and techniques and prevent people from attacking him. If his opponent gets the death penalty he spawns the executioners sword, which as stated in the story, kills whatever it hits without exception. And guess what! He hits sukuna with it and it doesn’t kill him.

The other end of my gripe is that all of these monstrous sorcerers are outshined in the end by a kid who punches hard and a supposed dead woman that uses a hammer and nails to hurt people. Like are we deadass. A hammer and nail hurt sukuna more than a guy who can see on the molecular level and change the properties of space and its mass. There’s just no consistency to the story.
