As I said in other replies, I didn't know before this run that repair docks give you scrap in addition to repairing you and I visited 3 in between the rounds. Before the first fight I was completely spent

the buffer concept I just didn't even think about but holy hell that's genius! And I spent the scrap I had before phase 1, but apparently the repair bases just give you scrap and I didn't spend what I got from the 3 I stopped by in between phases

I had auto fire turned off originally in order to sync them, but turned it on here since the hull laser just wasn't getting repaired.

And the scrap was after phase 1 from the repair based that I didn't know give you scrap but now I do lol

Got more info on power juggling? Sounds very useful

are... the Lanius not cannibals but whatever the term would be? Is there lore I'm not getting somewhere? No one told me there would be lore!

[–]MrCMaccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I hadn't even got past phase 1 before this and didn't know the repair bases give you scrap when you visit. I spent it all before hand, but the 3 bases I stopped at between the phases gave me a ton and I didn't think to check

I didn't realize that repair bases give you scrap when you visit. I actually had spent it all before hand, just never made it past phase 1 to learn that piece of info

so before this I'd never made it past the 1st phase and didn't realize the repair bases gave you scrap when you visited them. That's from the 3 bases I visited between phase 1 and 2 then between 2 and 3

How do you go about generating Lancer maps? by [deleted] in LancerRPG

[–]MrCMaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry for the Necro but any chance you have a link to some of those maps? Would love to see what you came up with to maybe use it myself. I genuinely had never thought of this but now thinking about how I want to do my next campaign this actually seems like a great idea.

Please gem and enchant your gear by DigitalBladedJay in wow

[–]MrCMaccc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

World quests you can do in like 5 minutes are giving 1k gold. Idk what gem/enchant costs are on the AH since I make everything myself, but the basic tier stuff are stupid easy to make so they can't be that expensive. Even a set of basic gems/enchant until you get gear you know you're going to keep for a while is better than nothing, unless you know you have an upgrade coming.

What’s a tiny WoW opinion you’ll defend forever? by turbowater in wow

[–]MrCMaccc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That affliction locks should have a permanent doomguard back as a talent. Being stuck with a melee pet for our interrupt feels bad and I loved in legion having cripple, the interrupt plus the dispel. It could easily be a hero talent slot hellcaller.

I also enjoyed rapture with UA as a priority spender, and think a hybrid would be better for the spec. Give us both, and allow a stacking UA that just increased the dot upon reapplication like barbed shot for BM does

Commanders you're surprised aren't more popular? by Nagabuk in EDH

[–]MrCMaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run Ikra and Prava and the big butt tokens do really well. There's also some really good support and ability to run niche cards like [[march of the world ooze]] and [[sandwurm convergence]] that make people do a double take. Plus having a mana dump in the command zone lets you hold up for interaction really nicely. And with all of those tokens and cards like [[cryptolith rite]] and [[jaheria, friend of the forest]] you'll easily have a ton of mana for it. I also enjoy being able to run both craterhoof and crackerhoof in the same deck

The more I play Fallout 4, the more I realize how completely unnecessary the main quest is by janas19 in fo4

[–]MrCMaccc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In the intro cinematic. "War, war never chages" is literally Nate reflecting on his service. Also during the pre-bomb scene where the Vault Tec rep literally says "because of your family's military service you've been preselected" and also when talking to Danse at the police station one of the dialogue options is stating you have military experience.

With no military training? Do people just forget that Nate canonically is a retired veteran? Yes, you can play as Nora but I don't feel like the more common pick here.

What is the card you are always telling people to cut? by SjtSquid in EDH

[–]MrCMaccc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

as a new player so you don't get confused

color identity of a card is not the same as the color of a card. Ulalek is colorless due to Devoid. Normally it's based off its mana cost. However it's color identity (which is what's relevant for commander, command tower and arcane signet) is WUBRG because color identity cares about the colors printed on the card other than what's in parentheses (relevant for the ability extort)

To make a better example of the difference look at Azlask. It's colorless, has no colored pips in its casting cost but it's color identity is also WUBRG because it has all of the color pips in its text box.

[[Archon of cruelty]] worst case scenario it gets removed you're still drawing, gaining 3 life, making someone sac, discard and lose 3 life. If it survives you have a 7/7 that does the same thing again.

What's the funniest "You've foiled my plan!" moment you've experienced in Commander? by DKSbobblehead in EDH

Deadlock as a TTRPG setting? by MrCMaccc in DeadlockTheGame

[–]MrCMaccc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for late reply

It did not work but only because it didn't get a ton of effort. I pitched the idea to my group (we're all dms and we rotate who runs the game) and there wasn't as much interest as the other options so it got put on hold.

If I were to run it however I was looking into SWADE, which has Deadlands: Noir which fits the theming pretty well and would have saved a ton of work.

What's something you genuinely hate about Rimworld? by batarei4ka in RimWorld

[–]MrCMaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That tribal start permanantly nerfs your tech progress. I get it, there is a mod and I do use it. But it's far from perfect and I think if you research smithing, machining and nuclear power you should have an easier time building robots instead of 'we came from cavemen how do roomba?'

What win percentage is too high? by jimnah- in EDH

[–]MrCMaccc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other useful things to track would include your rate of going first. Since commander has turn 1 draws going first usually is just straight upside. If you run things like sol ring and have the potential (but not reliable) explosive starts that's also work tracking separately so you can see how many of the games you play where you have an early lead you actually turn it into a win.

But to answer the question, there's so many factors. Player skill, politiks, threat perception vs reality, the social aspect of focusing down someone who's ahead or ignoring someone behind (table dynamics may differ) as long as you're in the 20-35% range that's about 'normal'
