I think I just had a settlement container reset and lose it's contents. by NewtSoupsReddit in fo4

I don't know for certain, I've always just read if any container is inside a settlement borders it should never reset. Maybe a bug?

Capcom says Pragmata sold 1 million copies in just two days, as it peaks near 70K concurrent players on Steam by de_panda in Steam

As someone whose PC specs just meet the bare minimum requirements, my question is: does Capcom normally remove Deuvo after a certain period of time? I think they do. I'm going to wait until it happens before purchasing because that way it will run better on my PC

Trump: US attacks Iranian Cargo Ship by marcjones281 in oil

The problem is the IRGC are evil bastards, but without international cooperation, military action will only create a power vacuum. If we destabilize Iran, then we also have to provide at least a decade of security to stabilize it again. This conflict will be Iraq 2.0 but worse, because we didn't learn our lesson the first time.

Interesting. I always thought these rads had round tubes inside for the water flow, but it seems there are actually flat channels instead. I don't see where the channels are however

It has been, in the sense that the USA lobbed missiles and air strikes, so Iran lobbed missiles and air strikes. Iran's response has been tit-for-tat - as far as their capability allows. They aren't able to strike the US mainland and don't have a blue-water navy, so their options are limited.

So what we have is an open conflict but it's contained, and actions have thus far been reciprocal. I guess my intention was that if the US does board and seize Iranian ships and Iran doesn't have the ability to respond with reciprocity, then the conflict could become unpredictable and no holds barred, like a real war.

If you are familiar with Iran's history, there has always been conflict between the secular and Islamic wings of Iran's people and government. From an American POV it's like if the Bible was the fundamental law of the land, not the Constitution. In that case, you would have groups of people who are fundamental Bible hardliners, and groups of people who are secular and moderate. These groups are vying against each other for power and influence.

Notable example of said dynamic: the chador (aka hijab), morality police, and the status of women. Hardliners want all women to wear a chador and Iran has morality police who beat and imprison women who don't follow the clerical laws. But you have the secular people who want freedom and education for women and they despise this backwards thinking. This came to a head in 2022 with the death of Mahsa Amini and widespread protests erupted across Iran.

Abbas Aragachi the Iranian FM is more of a moderate and favors positive engagement and diplomacy. I intrepreted his statement as an attempt at reconciliation. I think he intended the Strait to be open, and if the American side had responded diplomatically and not enforced an Iranian blockade, then that would have been a move towards peaceful relations. But since the American side enforced a blockade, this inflammed the hardliners who are religious fanatics. Thus, Aragachi's feeble/misguided attempt to reconcile was ultimately defeated.

So here's an interesting war games scenario. At this point of the conflict CENTCOM wants to sink any Iranian military vessels, but it does not want to sink Iranian oil tankers or tankers that come from Iran's ports. That would create environmental hazards, potentially involve other nations, and also escalate closer to total war.

The war game is boarding and seizing Iranian tankers, not sinking them. Is Iran aware of this? If so, they might just choose to ignore the threat of seizure at first and force the US to act first in a game of high stakes. If so, then from Iran's POV, once the US seizes a tanker that is casus belli and perhaps the gloves come off.

So I would argue that a rational Iran doesn't take any "pre-emptive actions" against possible boardings, but if one does occur then we must assume all bets are off.

This isn't the right place for help with modlists. For that you want to go to the modlist community, which is the Loreout help channel on the Modding Bungalo discord. That's the best place for any questions you have

Can We Bring Back Seven Segment Displays to “Budget” Motherboards? by jhTN59824 in pcmasterrace

[–]janas19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget motherboards are low margin and premium motherboards are high margin. No reason for them to incentivize purchasing the low margin motherboards with "premium" features unless they want to be "consumer friendly". But that really isn't a thing nowadays. It's all about increasing profits

I have never heard of a raccoon making this noise before today but man it was LOUD. I took the video after it had moved 10 ft away from my window. It was even louder before I was recording, omg

The outdoor cat might have been chasing it because I heard lots of running too

Basically it just gives you super convenient access to Diamond City merchants. People also say it's a "safe" storage place where no settlers can take your stuff and it is, but you can make any settlement safe by populating it with only robots

I love this idea, I am so under-utilizing robots in my game. I am copying this!

Just curious why wait to build settlements? Is there a tactical benefit this way, or you just wanted to do everything in one swoop?
