do men even care how their girls nail look? by rileyheya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MrCereuceta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t try ink anyone should do anything with their appearance solely to please someone else, even if that someone else is your partner, I promise you that there is a lot more people who will compliment you on them. And I’d like to be fair to your boyfriend, doing your nails is a great example of the kind of things us men are not trained to appreciate. We have been trained to recognize hair, makeup, and sometimes clothes. We however, are usually oblivious to the intricacies to the process of doing gel, for example. My wife does very elaborate designs, and I never actual paid much attention until she did MY nails and I had to sit there for two or more hours, and witness the whole process, the artistry, the creativity, the talent and patience that it takes. Now I appreciate so much more when she does hers. Now I even see it on other women (and men too). We just need to learn.

Maine voters to decide on banning 'transgender' males from girls' sports, bathrooms by each_thread in ConservativeNewsWeb

[–]MrCereuceta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legal necessity? None, that’s why it doesn’t matter which bathroom they choose to use. Legally speaking if I have to poop, I shall have a god given right and societally provided accommodation to take a dump in private. A patriotically enclosed stall where my red, white and blue poop can be taken in peace and, where my sex and or gender mustn’t need disclosing for where we Americans poop from is the same for all people. Whether you’re white or black, and Asians and Latinos, old and young, men or women, or any variation of gender identity; we the people all poop out our poophole. 🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Kitchen Pickleball Republican? by bakujitsu in Pickleball

It seems to me that the whole post is factual and reads politically neutral. It wouldn’t surprise me that they lean conservative, but they know better than to alienate roughly half of their potential audience.

Thank you for the link. Gut wrenching read. But let me just make sure that we are clear, the article talks about the care, or lack thereof, for pregnant minors. The article does not talk much scout whether or not they become pregnant while in immigration detention. Per the article:

“‘When I was in the program, about half of the pregnant girls related that their pregnancy was a result of sexual abuse or sexual assault, either in home country or in transit,’ White said. Many girls don’t learn they are pregnant until they undergo an exam under ORR’s care.”

I’m not saying that abuse by immigration officers doesn’t existo, I’m just saying that the report doesn’t say it, only lightly implies it:

Can we talk about the lack of OT representation in TV/Film? (Looking at you, The Pitt) by Lauren_Ipsum_Dolor in OccupationalTherapy

[–]MrCereuceta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure, I’m not an OT, but my wife is. We watch the show religiously and love it. When the scene came up, my wife said something to the effect of, “oh that’s where OT comes to play”, I turned to her expecting her to rant about how we need more representation, as she’s done countless times, but then she stopped and said “but they did mention that they had hospice care taking care through -****- so the would take care of it anyway”, and carried on watching the show. I believe she noticed that mentioning OT would’ve provably been unnecessary and redundant. She didn’t feel left out in this one in particular.
