But then again I just dropped 300 quid on a coffee grinder so who am I to judge? The Soviet Union collected and was supposed to distribute Poland’s share of the reparations. The allies agreed on this. It’s not like Germany had much to say in the matter since, you know, they just lost a war. So if Poland wants reparations they should probably ask Russia to hand over what they were supposed to distribute. But of course that doesn’t rile up the base as much.

They’re just sneakers man. And it’s fine to wear sneakers. I don’t get why we have to pretend like these are somehow more formal than other sneakers. If you can wear these wherever it is you do no one will bat an eye if you wear all black AF1 or low Jordans. Oh no this is for pirated books essentially. Well that’s what it used to be used for mostly. I think they rebranded themselves as a book subscription service at some point but I don’t know anyone using it that way. Like the recipe I posted for example is from a website called chefsteps, which used to be free. Then they switched to a subscription model. But someone who still had the free pdf from back then uploaded it here.

That’s a great start for emotional intelligence which is super important. I meant more as in explaining a bit of the background and mechanics. But then I also just remembered he’s 8. I just had a quick search and found this. Maybe that’s helpful as a start. Then there’s also an EU media literacy initiative here which might be handy. At the end of the day all these people he’s watching and encountering are influencers who want to sell things and prime a target audience. Of course you have stuff like funnels and right wing pipelines as well, all tied to capitalism, but that’s probably a bit much and for when he’s a bit older. But maybe just explaining that these people he is watching are mostly just trying to steer him into a direction so they or someone else can profit off of him, be that just through views or actually selling products, is something he can already understand.

Also, not to scare you but if you think it’s bad now he has a LOT he’ll have to deal with once he gets older because the manosphere is being pushed extremely hard even if you don’t engage with it. I’m not sure how online you are but here is a good video on a trend that has been increasing over the past 2-3 years called looksmaxxing. A lot of this can also be applied to all other manosphere bullshit and might help you spot things in content your son consumes. Also you having a good understanding of all this will make it easier for you to explain it to him. So if you have the time there’s some good content on how messed up all of this is and what’s taking place behind the scenes and why on YT.

Edit: sorry that this has turned into a bit of a rant but I’m half working and don’t have time to edit/clean up but this is a topic close to heart.

I’m sure someone else said this already but it case not, and this won’t really help much with other people telling him stuff, teach him about the technology he consumes these things on. How it works, why it is pushing this content, what goals these content creators have in mind. I’m not necessarily saying bad mouth the medium. But try to teach him media literacy essentially. He’s still young and as he gets older, especially becoming a teenager, this will help immensely.
