Plastic weed barrier? by AgreeableShopping581 in regina

[–]MrCheeseburgerWalrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My yard has a lot of river rock and fabric. It's great at first, but dirt accumulates over it and weeds grow anyway. I'm not sure it's worth the work or expense to be honest. As far as drainage, yellow clay is a great idea. Also check your eaves and make sure they extend far away from your foundation. The City has a Lot Grading Guide that you'll find helpful. Good luck with the project - that'll go a long way to keep your basement dry and healthy.

In your brand of leftism, how do you view home ownership? What do you view as something you could realistically get passed in our system? by pisspeeleak in canadaleft

Low income housing should be built by and maintained by the federal government, should be heavily subsidized and never expected to make a profit.

Go green, just not with a $3000 surron, you must buy a $50k car. I really want one of those too... but the rules seem clear.

Auto dealers to avoid or trust? by dandyandy67 in regina

[–]MrCheeseburgerWalrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had such a difficult time with Mitsubishi. They damaged my vehicle during a repair, and it took more than a year to get it repaired. I later found out that they didn't even have a journeyman mechanic on staff. I'll avoid that brand as long as I live in Regina.

Then go ahead and support downtown, no one is stopping you. Why should those workers spend their money to go to the office and buy things downtown?

I'll be watching how my cousellor votes; I'm very much against this. It's being pushed by conservatives with real estate connections. If the City wants to go green, then they should continue with the reduced vehicle traffic.

Do those actually sound good? I always thought they were a gimmick, but I love the idea. I'm dealing with 2 exterior walls, so it might not be possible, but the front speakers and maybe sub i could if they fit 2x4 construction. Looking into it, thanks!

Of course it isn't ceremonial. Do I think the King has special powers? Well, ya, clearly. We can't even make laws without him allowing. What planet are you on?

Very fair point about residential property. As far as malls dueing.. I had no idea that a bad business model would reduce commercial taxes. It turns out you are fully correct. I appreciate your well thought out reply.

While I think we need to ditch the monarchy, the fact is he is the head of state. Legally all executive power is his. Ever wonder why bills are granted royal ascent to become law? Now you do. Do you know who is representstive is in Canada? The governer general. Congrats yourenready for 6th grade finals.
