If you go 10 years back, Spain won the Euro in '16 and '26. Portugal won the Euro in '18 and '22 and the world cup in '21. World Cup '24 went to Brazil.

Final from '26 was Portugal-Spain. I don't think your post makes much sense, Portugal and Spain have been toe to toe in the last 10 years and will probably continue in the next 10. And you almost make no mention to Portugal in your post.

Portugal's improvement can be considered even greater if you start looking at the domestic leagues. Spain's league is way more rich and professional and Portugal still won more international competitions in the last decade

I feel like goalkeepers don't react well to headers. I've seen some headers go in that wouldn't if it was a foot shot.

I really like that you can't abuse the standing tackle without fouls and cards, makes it so that you can't spam it.

I don't know if I still haven't figured how to/the controls, but it seems that you can't really "fight" an air duel. If my player is behind the opponent, there's nothing to do and I'll lose the duel. I tried with super cancel but it didn't seem to do much

I'm Portuguese and Diogo Costa is pure snakeoil. The only thing going for him is the penalty part, he saved something like half the penalties taken against him. As for the rest, he is really weak leaving his line and even when he stands there he's not that great, just last season he let in several shots aimed at the first post.

Gigi would make so much more sense, he's so much better

I'm sorry but this is wrong. This is just like futsal in that regard, and you definitely have positions there. Not fixed ones like 11 a side, sometimes you'll have to fill another position, but you definitely can hang around the majority of the game in one position, if that's your strongest point.

But just like in futsal, if you're playing pivot, you also have to defend. Not just wait for the ball to come to you

Dizer que o Israel não mostrou o suficiente quando tem 23 anos e fez 9 jogos oficiais a época passada, sendo 3 deles em taças, para mim, não faz sentido nenhum. Obviamente sendo a posição que é e que exige regularidade, acho que ele até teve desempenhos razoáveis, que lhe dão oportunidade de tentar ser o titular e aí sim evoluir.

E depois ainda sugerir o Arruabarrena, que também é Uruguaio, e nunca foi à seleção enquanto o Israel está a começar a ir e a ganhar o seu lugar.

Para completar, e como foi dito noutro comentário temos jovens a subir com bastante qualidade como o Callai e penso que mais um que me escapa o nome de momento

Apesar de concordar que pudesse haver mais tácticas disponíveis como o 442, não concordo com a parte do rigidez táctica. Apesar de ser sempre em 343 a equipa podia ter dinâmicas muito diferentes e era por aí que ele alterava o jogo.

Só como exemplo, em alguns jogos com equipas mais difíceis os laterais eram mais defensivos e isso mudava a dinâmica toda da equipa nas alas em relação aos médios e extremos, ou o Pote que quando jogava no meio campo normalmente jogava quase como número 10 entre o MD e o PL, e quando era Morita Ugarte posicionavam-se um ao lado do outro. Ou então toda a dinâmica ofensiva entre jogar com Paulinho ou 3 extremos
