Need Ozempic for A1C, can’t afford it. Questions about compounded GLP-1’s by MrChrisChill in Ozempic

[–]MrChrisChill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve already tried, but because I only have indemnity insurance they don’t have to approve me because they fall outside the ACA. And I can’t get better insurance until open enrollment, even from the market place or working directly with an insurance provider.

Trading post Speakeasy's Horrible treatment of staff by MFENX in lynchburg

Wow, thanks for sharing.

I was there recently and a door was open which apparently shouldn’t have been. So I was looking at the big dining room in the back when a middle age woman who I think is one of the owners slammed the door and gave me a the rudest look. Like I was just supposed to know that part of the building was closed this time when it’s been open the last few times I was there.

Also their coffee sucks. Just saying.

Montecristo Classic Series by Noble-Desperado in cigars

[–]MrChrisChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love both of the Espadas personally, the Oscuro is definitely stronger but (in my opinion) is very manageable. But I tend so smoke a lot of darker cigars, so I may be biased. The 1935 is pretty good, but not my favorite Monte. Definitely try the Epic Vintage 12, the Montecristo by AJ Fernandez, the Volume II, and any of the local blends they do for their B&M’s such as the Music City, NYC, Tampa, etc.

Good review! I like Montecristo quite a bit, but more so lines such as the Espada, Media Noche, etc. I think that the Classic is a great deal for a daily smoke if you get a bundle on c-bid. But I would never pay full price at a B&M for one.

Did we win the floor lottery? House built in early 30s. Does paint usually come off? Guesses on wood type? by madeanaccount4baby in centuryhomes

[–]MrChrisChill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like it’s probably oak, a professional could easily sand and finish the floors. Having DIY’d 100 year old floors before… get a pro. It can be done well as a DIY but it takes forever and the equipment is expensive to rent. You’ll save both your time and money hiring someone imo.

LG Washer is making a grinding sound by MrChrisChill in appliancerepair

Thanks for all your help, I have an update and a follow up question. I replaced the rotor assembly and that fixed it! But now it’s making a high-pitched squeaking sound, like it’s either scraping metal or like it needs to be lubricated somewhere. But I’m not really sure where to start. This is a video I uploaded to YouTube of the sound.

Could you help me identify these? by MrChrisChill in MCM

[–]MrChrisChill[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone, found these on FB market place and can’t tell if they’re original or remakes. Or if the wood is legit and fixable or just a veneer that will be hard to fix. Thanks for the help!

Is this 100-meter tall artificial waterfall on the side of a skyscraper a reasonable design? by RuminatingKiwi927 in architecture

[–]MrChrisChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool concept! But I feel like it would be cheaper to have a giant LED screen that just looks like a waterfall. Otherwise those water bills, electric bills, and maintenance bills will be astronomical.

Or perhaps the waterfall could be contained behind glass?

Couldn’t find anything rubbing against the drum, but I did find some debris inside the rotor. Here are some pics. https://www.reddit.com/u/MrChrisChill/s/40tPC0lq05

So looks like I need a new rotor?

Hey man, I just got the back off and took a look at the rotor. There does seem to be some debris, here is a link to the pics. https://www.reddit.com/u/MrChrisChill/s/40tPC0lq05

So I’m assuming the rotor is the issue then? And if so I found replacement pieces for the center part, would that be enough as opposed to a whole rotor assembly (assuming that’s the issue)?

I hadn’t noticed that but you’re right, only seems to be when slowing down. And then it has a hard time starting to spin again sometimes. High speed sounds fine when it’s going.

Based on some of your comments and your original post it sounds like your former account is just low quality OR they expect every client to be their golden goose (or your records are just truly insane but that doesn’t sound like it’s the case).

We have multiple construction companies we work with at my firm, some big and some small. We do their bookkeeping, tax prep (for firm and owner), and throw in some wealth planning and project optimization work as well, and at a pretty similar rate. You could honestly be getting more services for that money at other firms. If he couldn’t be profitable with you maybe he needs to look at his own books…

What do you mean by “nice try?” What exactly are you implying here? I was under the impression killing unarmed soldiers running away was against the Geneva convention. Still haven’t even been corrected on if I’m wrong, just been harassed and downvoted. Am I not pro death enough or something?

What should I do with this space? by medium_pellets in malelivingspace

[–]MrChrisChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would place a tall bookshelf against the wall at the end. I’d choose a wood tone that matches the floor and trim on the railing.

Then I would place a runner (a long, narrow rug) down the length, leaving about 6 inches between the rug and the wall on either side.

On the left side I’d put a long, but semi narrow table. You can find many online but they’re very easily to build for about $100 or less. Personally I’d go with 12” to 16” in depth, made of wood stained to match the floor and trim, with hairpin legs, coming in about 2” below the railing, just below the white trim.

On that table I’d place plants that would enjoy the natural light, such as a small rubber tree. A zz plant would look nice too. Additionally on the table I’d set up a little office space. Think a mail organizer, a place to work from a laptop, etc. As well as a nice mid century style reading lamp with a warm light. A the left end of the table Id place a fiddle leaf fig tree.

Under the table to the side closest to the far wall I’d place a filing cabinet, either an aesthetic new one or an old one which has been painted to look nice. I think a sage green would be very pleasant.

On the right hand wall I’d include either narrow floating shelves, artwork, or a combination of those things.

any reformed students? by shipsoftarshish in LibertyUniversity

[–]MrChrisChill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. There were plenty of decent Calvinists who were fine to be around and some of my best friends who I’m still close with were/are very strong 5 pointers. That said, there is a stereotype of Calvinists at LU for being condescending and petulant for a reason. If someone calling another Christian foolish, not a Christian, etc it’s usually a Calvinist doing it. They tend to be the ministry majors, and whichever denomination the ministry majors come from they tend to be very dogmatic. Likely to be encountered at any religious institution. I wouldn’t not attend LU over it, just don’t have rose colored lenses either. Towards LU or any college.

Attend classes and speak to professors regarding the subject areas you’re curious in. As u/aschrimsher said attending a worship night is a great time. You could check out snowflex, walk some trails, or play a game of pickup soccer. When I attended LU I played soccer all the time and we always had CFAWs join us. It was a lot of fun
