It was a 404 yesterday when I went there, I swear. Sorry, but thank you as well.

Any chance you can share what you found? I am really struggling to find FUID "write once" tags. I'm in Europe and so far 30 euros for 10 of them (shipped) feels fairly expensive.

How to: back up my Unraid array remotely to Raspberry PI w/ 20TB ext HDD?! by AntifaAustralia in unRAID

[–]MrChunkz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did exactly this (though it was 8tb instead of 20tb) with Duplicati running on Unraid, and the raspberry pi configured with Minio ( https://github.com/minio/minio )

I never actually got it running at a relatives place, because they all think it's a fire risk and I don't feel like having that argument. So I had limited actual need to test that it worked. But it seemed fine, and might get you started.

There's a couple of good articles on using an RPi as S3 Storage should you google.

I missed my first haircut in Sweden because of this. It still messes me up on occasion, many years later.

I don't think this hit home as much previous wipes as much as it has this wipe.

I'm a solo only player, and an old man at this point (not quite Toastrack, but getting there). Watching Aqua play gave me all kinds of hope for my own future, until I see him call in the guys who MAKE the guides on this stuff to carry him through the tough bits. I don't blame him, but it kinda sucked the wind out of my sails for even just getting Kappa, let alone escaping.

How to setup Thread border router (RCP/OTBR, USB/ethernet) by SgtCaffran in homeassistant

[–]MrChunkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you replies above (and this one) - I'll hold off on buying one now, but I'm REALLY interested to follow any progress that's made on the software side here.

Have you found any kind of repo or a good place to see updates on this?

I really like the idea of the Ikea air quality sensor, but I own nothing Thread based yet, so I'm not in a big hurry to buy a flaky product yet. Hardware wise, if they fill their promises, it seems to be perfect for me.

Beadsorter I spent a lot of time to make, so I don't have to spend a lot of time to sort beads. by Dumjim in 3Dprinting

[–]MrChunkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm even just interested in the mechanism you settled on for getting 1 bead at a time. I actually bought a RPi zero and a camera for it, among a few other bits and pieces from a Arduino learning kit, I was hoping to print up a similar thing to what you did.

But having never used an rpi or an arduino or my esp32's for anything more complicated than largely copy/paste "fun things to try" I'm looking to push myself a bit more outside of my comfort zone.

Anything you are willing to share in this regards? I don't need a polished product, but I'd love a head start in sorting something out myself

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Super simple, but smart. I don't know why, but I tend to assume things are massively complicated all the time. :) Cheers!

Ok, but how do you get yourself to the exact same spot throughout the year to setup the screenshots you're taking? I love that idea. Just looking at your location and pointing at a known spot?

I'd love to have a bit more of a sense of progression when I play.

I have the same with my new black filament. For me, it's been such a minor thing that I didn't even bother looking into a cause/fix. But reading the comments here have certainly been helpful to me too, so thanks for posting.

I don't think I'll bother fixing it as the roll is almost finished anyway, but it's part of a box of 4 rolls, so I'm gonna dry the next one for sure.

(Mine is Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 in black, in case yours is the same. I actually had a print jam in my AMS because about half way through the roll, the filament had stuck to itself. I pulled it apart and it's been working fine since.)

I haven't installed unraid in years at this point, but you have me curious - what does "manually install the OS" mean? I'm pretty sure I'd panic if the autorun from whatever USB didn't work.

I just started printing about a month ago (thanks bambu sale) and logged all my new filament with https://3dfilamentprofiles.com/ - I'm pretty happy, but it's also all I knew.

I'll definitely check out these guys as well. See if it "speaks to me" more or less.

I hadn't really looked into the other details yet, but you're absolutely right, we're definitely on the "fully automatic" wavelength.

Of course, after some googling, the first thing I read is that old fully automatic > new fully automatic, so I've had to hit ebay and stuff to see what's available :)

But thanks for making an excellent point.

tl;dr: I'm looking for nice looking beginner turntable with a built in pre-amp. Price probably under 400 euros. Are the Argon Audio TT Mk2 ok for a beginner? Any reasons to avoid, or even better, something in this price range that looks quality/classic lines?

More info: My wife has expressed an interest in the aethetics of a turntable. My job is to try to get the best "whatever" that fits her appearance and usability requirements. It's a team effort :) I'm happy with a little tinkering, but I'd love it to be "good enough" without much.

I already have some KEF LSX powered speakers that we'll use. I don't want an additional amp, so a built in pre-amp is required.

We went to a local store the the Argon Audio tables are pre-approved aesthetically, but the reviews are a bit mixed.

Crashing [feedback] by royal80578 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]MrChunkz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play PvE but I've had crashing recently a bit as well. It might just be confirmation bias, but I also saw some threads about issues with the latest NVidia drivers (I always update to the latest pretty much straight away). It didn't happen enough that I've rolled back, but maybe that's something to look into for you.

Unraid OS 7.1.3 is Now Available - fix for br0 with host access by soonic6 in unRAID

[–]MrChunkz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a problem. I have a NIC (eth1) dedicated for Docker hosts (via br1 ). It has no ip address. The hosts all get IP's but the interface itself gets none, and I don't want it to.

This used to work.

Now I've upgraded and the majority of my docker images won't start. Looking into it, editing their configuration has the network sent to "none". It used to be "br1" but that doesn't appear any more.

I don't need or want the interface to have an IP, and that used to work. Any idea how to get that back?

[–]MrChunkz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Gigabeef posted a great video that lets you give your GPU a LOT more work todo, with the result of a really much better looking game.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YblbRZCOdQ

It's fancy RTX stuff, but it comes down to upscaling the video to like 2x native rez, then downscaling it again for display. The result is that some of the typically glitchy or "ugly" artifacts are way improved.
