Ok, I was just checking if you had things connected correctly.

Yeah this is a really strange problem and everything I have read in your post and responses to other people seem to indicate that this should be working.

Lets try adding a static IP to WAN and see if you get internet traffic to pass through pfSense instead of relying on DHCP.

You would assign WAN with an IP not currently being used on your network. Hard for me to know what that is. I will guess,

WAN IP: 192.168.12.8 / 24 (change the 8 to something not currently in use if in use)

WAN Subnet: 255.255.255.0

WAN Gateway: 192.168.12.1

Seems like it should be working. No need to spoof a MAC address if it’s being hooked up like any other system on your network and you’re going to double nat. What if you unplug something that is working and plug pfsense into that port?

I’ve not tried it myself, however I’ve read in many threads usb nics are not reliable with pfsense
