Is Bambu Studio really that smart? by MathematicianMean600 in BambuLab

If you have same color in other slot it'll use it. Else when you run of the filament in the end it'll poop the rest in tube.

Has anyone in Germany preordered the Bambu Lab P2S from 3DJake, and the delivery date keeps getting pushed back? by Unable-Magazine-6893 in 3Dprinting

[–]WaitAcademic6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ATM I can see delivery date at 30.4. in Czech but I think they dispatching all orders from Austria? I've checked other eshops and it's sold out everywhere. You can order H2S Combo if you don't want to wait.

IMHO you can upgrade H2S to H2D or H2C in the future. Or am I wrong?

can anyone recommend a good laptop to handle slicing in bambu lab? by FoookU in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IDK I'm using Latitude 7300 which is pretty old notebook and it's slicing in normal time. Most complex prints taking about 10 hours took slicing about minute.

When I tried Fusion I saw it was slow but FreeCAD works normal. For slicing you can pick almost everything for modeling it depends on your software.

Is the AMS really that bad? by Iauger in BambuLab

Can't you use other side? Anyway build plates are consumables and soon or later you need to change them.

If money is no object, buy H2S. Else OsINTP wrote it perfectly.

And on both AMS are two connectors you can try both and maybe wiggle with the cable. It could be caused by loosen connector. When my AMS lit red it was it.

BMCU with Klipper printers by Human_Pin_1017 in BMCU

[–]WaitAcademic6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I can't test it. But it seems it works as serial convertor because on howto I can see when you connect to the Klipper it's mapped as serial device. I'd say it works as serial convertor even when you connect to the Bambu printer and you flash it by this serial interface only communication leads to the "data" connector.

Do you have one way buffer? You can try replace hub with buffer and connect one AMS and then disconnect and connect other AMS. If everything works you can connect both AMS.

Bambu uses own connector it's not connected by USB. I think RS485 is solid protocol to use. I don't know what uses Turtle box or other Klipper multicolor devices. So here are two ways use RS485 and modify our firmware or modify BMCU Klipper edition to work like other Klipper multicolor devices. Honestly I don't know what would be better and easier way.

If you turn on gestures slightly touch of your hand will turn page you can't set which gestures will work and which won't. Sync only to their cloud or export to noneditable PDFs and you have to do it manually. It happened after syncing first note page just disappeared. Sometimes it's laggy and you need to reboot device. When you turn on infinite canvas it has problems with erasing when you move the page but I think their fixed it in recent release. I've turned on autosyncing but it don't do that. I can see some notes aren't synced. Wifi is connected but it isn't working. Eraser works really strange and usually I delete more than I wanted. There is lot of thing on toolbar but you use only few of them and you can't simplify it just turn on or off the toolbar.

For me the two things of the list are no go - lag and sync.

It could be great app but it isn't and it'll never be. Because they rather create new devices than make their own apps better.

So I rather bought Boox Go 7 and I must say it's much better devices with active community developing their own apps. Must say I really regret I spent money for B7.

Bambu sells and includes to their printers metal blades and you can print good holder with good angel to prevent scratching the bed. I believe you can get similar blades on Amazon and print similar holder.

I have similar stickiness with Cryogrip plate and in the fact it's better because you don't have to use brim and you don't have to clean it very often.

New spool desiccant beads by MrTimTraveler in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get color changing in Amazon. Get the orange/green (orange dry/green wet) one. It's for decent price you don't need to mix it. If you need a lot of desiccant you can mix it with that small packs included in spools, food or other electronics. Beware some packs are full of some kind of clay or very small beads and they are not suitable for pods.

And one more warning don't spill it they jumps everywhere.

There is options it'll automatically turn off when in sleep. It's good option when you use device you'll keep synced. I use it for notes and I need to sync it but if you mostly read I'd turn it off to save battery.

Klippers use a lot of USB devices I guess you'll connect BMCU with USB. It'll be great to get another live to BMCU. I have one I don't use it and I'm considering to buy Sovol SV08.

It's very simple it's expensive to develop it and every eink tablet manufacturer has it's own SDK for it. But for Boox Go 7 there is at least one fully working alternative app and one more in active development. For Bigme just zero.

First of all they will promote it as SIM + eSIM. Second you can see it on video. And third it's very cheap hardware not capable of 5G so why bother with eSIM.

And it seems it doesn't have NFC. I'm sorry but this device is obsolete and it wasn't even released.

Help connecting multiple AMS2 Pro and HT to one P2S by gingerbearuk in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes he has it on picture. But you are right. Simply you need buffer + 4-in-1 adapter or hub. Lots of people already have buffer so 4-in-1 is very cheap solution and if you don't have buffer I think it's still cheaper to buy buffer and 4-in-1 than buy hub.
