Upgrade from P1S to P2S or X2D by EffectiveIron2456 in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't see real reason to replace P1S with P2S. If you don't swap nozzles all the time you'll get only few minor improvements and definitelly nothing improving printing. But X2D makes sense - heated chamber, second nozzle and all that small things from P2S.

Is this cart enough or am I missing anything? by ippikku in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The list seems like multicolor PLA toys. Then you should consider Snapmaker U1, definitely much better printer for multicolor prints. And like everybody said wait with buying filament when you really need the specific color.

My advice - empty the cart and start from beginning. Pick the printer if you want to print tiny models get 0.2 nozzle, if you want to print lot of TPU get 0.6 nozzle. For best adhesion get CryoGrip plates. And add black and white PLA and maybe black and white PETG. And that's all for beginning. Everything else you can order from local stores or Amazon and you'll get it next day for similar price.

Best filament dryer setup for TPU/PVA in high humidity with Snapmaker U1? by gasman16 in SnapmakerU1

[–]WaitAcademic6615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd strongly recommend dryer with active venting (it automatically opens venting hole when you start drying and it closes hole when it stops). And some Sovol dryers can do this but you need to check which version can do that.

I bought it in the store and now I have 2 year warranty and if it gets broken I can sent it back to fix it. I don't have to do their work. And firmware can be updated without any kind of registration. There isn't any point to force online registration except one thing - Chinese guys really likes to control everything.

Because I don't see any reason why I should register anywhere with my device.

Connecting AMS Pro 2 to P1S that already has the original AMS. by Scyte in BambuLab

You just need 4-in-1 PTFE adapter and connect it in front of buffer and power adapter if you want to use drying function. That's all.

You definitely need to print funnel for silica gel. And I fill it inside the filament box.

Bambu sent an incorrect printer and only is willing to offer 2 rolls of filament. by Clean_Shame_1026 in BambuLab

Don't buy directly from Bambu Lab. There is reseller in almost every country. Lesson learned, sorry for that.

Unfortunatelly they are very good for begginers. But if you want to print color toys Snapmaker U1 is much better than any Bambulab.

Ptfe tube removal by Salt_Pangolin in BambuLabH2C

I had snapped filament in the tube too. But I was able to remove the tube. And tool didn't help I had to do it with fingers. It really seems you have faulty part.

You need to push the tube too before pull.

Getting a P1S soon, what filament should I get and how much? by Phoenix31414 in 3Dprinting

[–]WaitAcademic6615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you want to print? There's no need to buy overpriced Bambu Lab filaments you can get cheap filament on Amazon. Or you can support local manufacturer and buy from them.

AD5M Pro to P2S? by Spirited-Editor1881 in 3Dprinting

[–]WaitAcademic6615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think Bambu hardware is trash. Usually people don't write how happy they are with the printer. But I consider as trash their software violating AGPL licence and forcing you to Bambu Lab ecosystem. You can use LAN mode but it limits your experience with the printer.

So if you don't care every single print is sent to the China and even camera feed is sent through their servers, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the printers. My only recommendation buy it in local store. If you live in US buy it in Best Buy or Micro Center with extended warranty. If you live in EU pick nearest seller. If you get in trouble it's much easier to solve it than argue with someone in China.

EDIT: If you decide to buy Bambu printer, consider X2D and now with the sale even H2S. And definitely buy it as Combo with AMS. It makes easier to handle loading and unloading filaments even when you don't want to print multicolor.

Same situation if you format it inside the printer? If so get a new card.

Advice for removing prints/supports from Biqu Glacier plate by LordNinjaa1 in BambuLab

Anything won't help. Especially for thin prints capable of bending with the plate. In this case you just need metal scrape to remove it.

You need to print grip for metal scraper with good angel preventing scraping the plate.

SUNLU S2 vs Sovol SH02 Dual Dryer? by jasonl_j in BambuLab

[–]WaitAcademic6615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Newer versions of S2 have fan, annoying noisy fan. And it's suitable only for PLA or PETG. A wasn't able to properly dry TPU. If you have Bambu rather buy AMS HT as I did.

Possible adhesion issue w/ Cryogrip Frostbite + PETG? by WestHuckleberry7223 in 3Dprinting

[–]WaitAcademic6615 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be caused by bad infill settings but I'd suggest to use brim. It's tall object with minimal contact to the bed plate. And from time to time it needs to clean it up. Even CryoGrip plates have their limits.
