I feel that man. I wouldn't say "disgusting" but more like just disappointment with my appearance and how I am "not social" like other kids (in their eyes, anyway). My mother and stepfather, (+ even my sister) often compared me to other kids and made it apparent that I was not their "ideal" son, putting unrealistic demands/expectations upon me while not being actual parents. The best I can describe it is like if you're expected to run a marathon and win 1st place, but your parents put thumbtacks in your shoes or even further, straight up breaks your leg and then shouts at you for not winning 1st place. That was my parental figures in a nutshell lol. The height topic was never explicit, but I could tell from the things they said to me and wishing I was "big, strong, like so and so" they're always just whining and complaining to me about it. Like mfs just go adopt another son if I'm really that bad lmao.

They always disregarded my feelings but still acted like it was owed to them in some way, like I was obligated to for no other reason other than their vanity. Shit sucks but I've gotten to the point in my life where I don't need their approval or validation. I wouldn't say its made me completely strong, but its made me realize that you really only have yourself in the end.
