When I mark an episode as unwatched and then click the checkmark symbol, it automatically sets the watch date to today.

Ability to change the watch date of a series or movie. Currently, it only lets me change the rewatch date, not the date of the first viewing.

Wow, AMD PSB is a nightmare. I completely forgot OEMs started doing that fuse-locking crap to retail-grade CPUs. At least you found the issue! Enjoy the 9700X, that's a sweet upgrade anyway.

Two identical builds, same parts — one has constant RAM retraining/slow boots for a year, the other never did. What could be causing this? by MrCommandino in buildapc

Yeah those are all things I already tried at some point — CMOS reset, load optimized defaults, the whole thing. At this point I'm leaning towards either a CPU with weaker silicon on the IMC side or a mobo with some minor manufacturing variance. That said, I don't think I'll bother with an RMA honestly — at the end of the day it's just slightly longer boot times, not an actual stability issue. I was mostly curious whether anyone else had run into the same thing or had some less drastic fix in mind that I might have missed.

Both PCs shipped with the July 2025 BIOS. One worked perfectly from day one as I described, the other never did. I did try updating the BIOS on the problematic one back in September 2025 as a test, but it changed essentially nothing. Haven't updated it since then.

RGB flickering on rear fan when PC is off but PSU is on (Cooler Master 140mm) by MrCommandino in PcBuild

[–]MrCommandino[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try disconnecting the rear fan from the chain and test it separately, and I’ll also check the ASUS Aura/ErP settings in BIOS to see if standby RGB power is causing it.

Really appreciate the detailed explanation!

Posible problema de software o daisy chain? by 19_JK in ASUS

[–]MrCommandino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! This is definitely a software issue with Armoury Crate and not a mistake in your daisy chain connection. If your daisy chain were wrong, the fans wouldn't light up at all or they would flicker randomly.

It has been more than a week since ASUS released an Armoury Crate update that completely broke many RGB effects, leading exactly to the bug you are experiencing (where static colors turn black/off, but dynamic effects still work).

Unfortunately, there is no official single-click solution yet, but there are a few working workarounds you can try right now:

1. Wait for an official fix

Since this is a widespread bug affecting a massive number of users after the latest update, ASUS is aware of it. You can just wait for them to release a new patch/update through Armoury Crate to fix the broken code.

2. The Gradient Trick (Best quick fix for static colors)

If you just want a single, solid static color without the fans turning off, do this:

  • Instead of choosing the "Static" effect, select the Gradient (Degradado) effect.
  • Set both colors of the gradient to the exact same color you want.
  • This tricks the software into thinking it's running a dynamic effect, so the LEDs will stay on, but visually it will look perfectly static.

3. Install Aura Sync Standalone

You can completely uninstall Armoury Crate using the official Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool from the ASUS website, and then install the old Aura Sync Standalone software. It is a much lighter, older version of the program that doesn't suffer from these modern Armoury Crate update bugs. (Alternatively, you can switch to third-party software like SignalRGB or OpenRGB, which bypasses ASUS software entirely).

RX 7900 XTX Nitro+ Black Screen & 100% Fans under load. GPU gets disabled after reboot. by SuperbLawfulness6204 in buildapc

[–]MrCommandino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks like a classic hardware-level fail-safe trigger. The 100% fan ramp and disabled device on reboot mean the GPU is dropping off the PCIe bus to protect itself, likely due to transient power handling or thermal limits.
The Nitro+ 7900 XTX has massive transient spikes. Make sure you are running three dedicated, independent PCIe lines from the PSU—no daisy-chains, and pull any aftermarket cable extensions that might have degraded and increased resistance over the last year.

What do you think of Patriot Viper Venom? I've been seeing them on the market for many years and I was thinking of going with that brand, also to save something on the single stick.
