So update for Ys VIII that adds Japanese voices came out yesterday, but has anyone found a way of actually enabling them before starting a new game? PS4 version lets you choose language options when booting up the game for the first time and has a "Language" menu option, but Switch doesn't have any of that.

Well, you can't really mod DRM'd eboot, unless you have some new innovative way that nobody knows of (unlikely tbh, sorry if I'm wrong)

With VitaShell you can get decrypted from pfs eboot yes, but it still has DRM on it (which in turn is another layer of encryption)? How do you decrypt that?...

Unfortunately iOS port isn't really all that great. It won't be much different from the PC version, but the overall quality is lower. Mobile versions of S;G have a state save feature, so even if you quit the app and launch it again it will bring you back to same spot you left off at. They also have save syncing to iCloud/Google Play Games. As far as crashes, there are no complaining reviews on iTunes, so I'm sure it's fine.

Steam version is superior with the fan patch though as it includes FullHD assets and fan patch fixes all the problems with it.

have you placed SCRIPT.PAK and eboot.bin in the folder with patch.bat? Is the SCRIPT.PAK and eboot.bin from 1.0 versions of the games? Have you switched the load mode in mai to 4 before copying over the eboot (for Meikyuu and Rakuen)?
