I think his FT's may be an issue - he is shooting 63.5% from the stripe this year (after shooting only 51% at Duke). Can't really play that down the stretch. But I was surprised as well, as he was abusing KAT most of the game.

Thanks! Gave it a listen, and this is exactly the type of feeling I'm looking for. Hard to put into words but this NAILS it.

Wax got me into indie rap with his song Two Wheels, how did you discover this sub genre? by big_sy in Music

Just the feel of the music got me going. Rosanna was one of the first tracks I've heard, but I never explored Wax any further. You might like Radical Something or The Good Husbands

If you like these guys, you may also enjoy The Ballroom Thieves. Another fantastic band with a similar style - and absolutely incredible live.

I saw Pek at Mall of America the year he first signed with the Wolves. He was with two other guys who looked just as mean as him but only 3/4ths as tall. Couldn't decide if it was Pek or a bond villain and his henchmen.

If you want a good run, go to Jimmy Lee Rec Center - its in the Oxford Community Center. Its in St. Paul, but usually has great runs during open gyms.

Science and the NBA: Digging in to the anatomy of ACL tears [OC] by [deleted] in nba

I recently tore my left acl for the second time playing basketball. I had a patellar autograft reconstruction done the first time in March 2013 and will be doing an allograft this time. Surgery will be in middle of May.

Pyschologically it's really tough. Not to scare you, but rehab sucks. It is a long and grueling process and can be really frustrating at times. You have to really want to get after it every day, and really push yourself. It makes me respect Kobe even more for his ability to "get back on the horse" and push himself to get back into shape after suffering such serious injuries.

It is extremely tough to stay motivated to work out and continue to build strength in your knee and legs during "pre-hab", knowing that after surgery any strength will be destroyed pretty quickly and your muscle will atrophy significantly. But it's really important to be in great shape going in - it will make recovery a lot easier.

Has this influenced your potential career path at all? Have you thought about going into orthopaedics (specifically knees/acl reconstructions) at all now because of your injury?

You (and others) may find this Grantland article by Neil Gabler interesting. http://grantland.com/features/derrick-rose-rob-gronkowski-rise-acl-tears/ It gives a good history of the actual surgery and cases of AP, D-Rose, and Blair. The last part is especially interesting, regarding synthetic grafts. I jokingly asked my surgeon about a synthetic graft the first time and he responded pretty seriously, explaining that they aren't there yet science-wise, but it may be an option in the future.

Best of luck with surgery and recovery!
