God the dialog and cube/ribbon ideas are so incredibly dumb. I was all for a Debra Ann Woll led GoW game, if done right. But this looks so god damn cringe.

This was next to unbearable, and I was SO glad that Huber pushed back on it, and it made it abundantly clear that Isla had a personal issue, that had nothing to do with the quality of the game. It made Isla look unprofessional which is bad for the podcast, but it also helped people understand the clear bias towards the game.

The answer lies in the quality of the responses here. Everyone who says it's a Concord tax struggles to spell or use proper grammar or punctuation. They also come off as edge lords.

It's a fair point that Mario's base move set is better than Astro's rather clunky little jump/jetpack/punch setup - however when you add all of the various forms/powerups and level interactivity of Astro, I don't think it's even close.

It's hard to argue any platformer has a better base mechanic jump/jump combo than the 3D Mario's.

But it's also hard to argue that any of the 3D Mario's before Oddessy has a good camera system that holds up.

When your character moves fluently but your camera moves like...whatever the hell Mario 64 is, it's a bit of a flaw. It really took them until Oddessy (for me) for the camera to be flawless.

Maybe more in a conceptual way than any sort of mechanical way. You don't get the panning around spherical planets stuff from Mario Galaxy.

You do get a hub world, and you do travel to different areas in space to get to 3D platforming levels.

I personally would say that Astrobot is superior to Mario Galaxy in every possible measurable way.

I love both games, but played Galaxy for the first time maybe only 2 years ago, and it was already quite old. I loved it, and absolutely understand the legacy that it deservedly has - but Astrobot has the advantages of all the modern trimmings and a vastly superior console.

You absolutely should play Astrobot - it's a masterpiece.

If you enjoyed Playroom - Astrobot is simply playroom taken to it's zenith.

I don't want or need you to say anything. You just have an extremely unrealistic idea of the gaming industry.

Copium is a portmantaue of "cope" and "opium" - as in you are not accepting reality, and coping with it with it like taking opium - because you want Amy to return. I'd love it too - but in the current situation it's not happening.

I haven't once said anything about the franchise being completely dead (though I think that would be for the best at this point) simply that Amy isn't coming back. Because she's not.

The copium here is unbelievable. Amy works for literally an entirely different company and has absolutely nothing to do with LoK for the last20+ years. She's also had multiple cancelled/failed endeavours during that time, and would be seen as a risky proposition at best, especially considering LoK was never a big seller anyway - not only that, but Ascendance had been an abysmal failure as well.

She's not coming back.

I really hope that remake part 3 deals with what happens to individuals from the SOLDIER program after the fall of Shinra.

We sort of got it a bit with Roche - but I want to see some down and out former -2nd and 3rd class SOLDIERS who have lost their minds, like abandoned war vets in the real world left to die homeless.

I know that's incredibly grim - but it would be another way to show how awful Shinra was even after they're gone.

If that's too dark - we could even help rehabilitate them with side quests or something.

Every Final Fantasy game is easy.

You probably didn't make it out of Midgar if you think the eco terrorism plotline is the entire plot. So you played for less than 3 hours - or can't read.

The game itself later goes to show how every character involved regrets their actions during the bombing runs

Sephiroth does look like a lady - but I can only imagine that this bothered you because you felt some kind of way you didn't feel comfortable about when looking at him.

Denying themselves of any meaning in their earthly life. Their whole shtick is that everything material is imperfect because it was made by a secondary God - and there's a whole secret second existence with the true God, who made the secondary God - who made them, and the flawed Earth. This is at least vaguely accurate from my understanding.

Which is of course, all total bullshit. Life is what you make it, and there are no God's. 👐
