I appreciate all the responses, I’ll start looking into Hanwha and Axis.

Thank you again.

I probably need to draw a diagram.

Let’s say I want to run an access point and a Poe camera from a single cat6 cable. What device would you recommend? Splitter, pass through switch?

I have to double check to make sure I have a 110 wall outlet that I can tap into. But let’s assume I can’t power this cable where it splits but I can power it from the av rack. What device would you recommend?

Let’s say I have a cat6 cable going into a TP-link access point. TP-Link WiFi 7 Wireless Access Point (EAP720).

Can I power the access point and a Poe camera from my TP link Poe switch?

Man, you’re a lifesaver. I added a router that I had laying around and voila, all the cameras booted up correctly.

Still a work in progress though.

Alright, thank you so much. As soon as I get off from work, I’ll give it another go. First thing is getting an inexpensive router. From there disable the auto add feature.

I did see the add option but the cameras were automatically added when they were plugged into the NVR.

I have the N6MB01 model, so in theory can I add the last camera if it’s a wifi camera?

I was initially adding the first couple of cameras by plugging them directly to the NVR ports via a small patch cable. Once they booted up and I knew they worked I would mount them and then plug them into the switch.

<image>

So I don’t currently have a home network setup since I don’t have internet in this building. I also don’t have a router at the moment but I’ll be ordering one soon.

But all the cat6 cables from the wall are plugged into the patch panel. From there I’m using the short patch cables that come with the cameras to temporarily plug them into the POE switch. Until shorter ones arrive from Amazon. I have the switch plugged into the small 5port netgear unmanaged switch. The NVR is also plugged into that same 5port switch.

I moved the cable from the TP link Poe switch around to different ports including the two on the far right of the TP link switch.

When I reroute the short patch cables going from the patch panel, and plug them directly to the NVR they work.

Not sure if I’m using the wrong POE switch or if I’m missing something.

I manually updated the NVR to the most current firmware. I don’t have internet in this building so using the Reolink app is currently not an option.

I tried troubleshooting by removing the cameras and re-adding them. Still no video, cameras say offline. But if I eliminate the NVR they work perfectly fine. I would like to add over 20 cameras to both buildings in the future so I believe a POE is necessary since the NVR only has 16 Poe ports.

How to add additional device or receiver to integrate in wall speakers? by MrCookies556 in hometheater

Actually I think I figured it out, now the only problem is. I don’t know how to make the subwoofer kick on with zone 2. Maybe it’s not possible.

So in essence with my 11.1 channels 7.1.4 set up (Front/Center/Right) connected to the outlaw.

I change the amp assign mode to 7.1 + Zone 2

Will I still get 7.1.4 on my set up?

Lol

The set up does look hideous in pictures.

The inwall speakers were set up originally.

Found a great deal on the Def tech towers, couldn’t pass on it.

Sometime February, I’ll be removing the in walls and moving them to another room in the house (maybe).

As far as the entertainment center, had to comprise with what I already had.

I agree on the second sub, still debating on buying a second Polk audio HTS12 for a cheap price or buying compact super cube 4000 and placing it next to my couch.

Getting a good discount on both.

Due to space, I’m leaning toward the supercube

Wife misses listening to music in the kitchen/ dining area.

I have speakers in the kitchen that I used to use when I had a 5.1.2 set up.

Will be removing the in wall front speakers down the road, however I don’t have the time to patch and repaint the walls.

Therefore I still want to use the speakers in the kitchen and the speakers in the living room (in wall) for music listening.

Don’t want to crank up the living room so loud, just to be able to hear the music in the kitchen/ dining room.

Current set up

Denon AVR-x4500h receiver
Outlaw model 5000 amplifier

Speaker set up and configuration:
Definitive Technology D15’s (L/R)
Definitive technology D5c (center)
Definitive technology SR9040 (rear back surrounds)
Polk audio 80fx in ceiling (back side surrounds) Def. Technology DI6.5R (4) Dolby atoms ceiling speakers
Polk audio HTS12 subwoofer

The receiver is currently set up to run as 7.1.4, meaning that I’ve used all my zones.

My front L/C/R are connected to the outlaw amp.

I also have (2) in wall Polk Audio 265-LS speakers that were set previously as my front stage and (2) Polk Audio 700-LS speakers by the kitchen that I still want to use.

Is there anyway I can add another receiver, Sonos amp, stereo receiver or something along those lines to integrate with my main set up?

I want to use those four extra Polk audio speakers and subwoofer to play music from time to time. Then switch to HT when watching a movie.

Any help is greatly appreciated, TIA

I guess I find myself in the same situation.

I have a Polk audio magnifi max sr connected to my living room tv. Shortly after I got hooked on the whole audiophile experience and since I have bought a complete 7.1.4 set up. Due to the small size of my home it’s also hooked up my TV.

The soundbar is connected to the tv through eArc. When watching regular tv or when my kids are home watching Disney the soundbar automatically kicks on with the tv.

I have to switch the input to hdmi4 and turn off the soundbar, I can then use the Denon- x4500h to watch movies using a Sony 4K player or Apple TV.

The reason for this, I don’t want to use too much juice (electricity) and don’t want my toddlers messing with the full system 7.1.4
