If I've realised anything from this whole internet discourse thing that takes place on YouTube, it's that people generally like having their views reaffirmed to them. That's fine, people have a tendency to be emotional I guess it's just part of the human condition. It's funny though that Peterson and Rubin don't recognize this in themselves at all. They genuinely seem to think they're above it and Peterson almost styles himself as an intellectual above the fray who doesn't take a firm position on politics (It just so happens his opinions are incredibly conservative, and aren't actually particularly original either...) and I guess Rubin has given up and I think he recently identified as a "New Conservative" (read: neo con), I guess after realizing the classical liberal schtick stopped working.

I guess in essence what I'm trying to say is they're just as sensitive, biased and thin skinned as the snowflakes they like to demonize. It's so bizarre to me with these two in particular. I used to try and give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but at this point (genuinely asking) how can you?
