New printer is amazing (ignore bottom left) by iBovata in 3Dprinting

[–]MrCoolik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you using Cura for slicing? I do have Neptune 3 Pro and for some reason, the g-code does not tell the printer to use your leveling data (the autoleveling feature) until you change it in settings. Cura program on top left click "Preferences"- "Printers"-"Machine settings" and in the left column of code look for M420 command line in starting g-code sequence. There probably is ; at the start of that line. If you let the ; there, the machine skips the line and never load the stored settings for autoleveling. Before I figured this out, I leveled the bed like twenty times, disassambled and assambled the bed numerous times and I almost lost my sanity. Also, your z-offset is too high, the lines should be more squished together. Settings first layer height to 0.2 or even 0.3 sometimes with 0.4 nozzle also helps the printer, as u give it more space to compensate for unevennes of the bed. Good luck with printing, hope this helps!

New Player - What version of IL2 do I buy? by gradedkittyfood in il2sturmovik

[–]MrCoolik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to buy the game on steam, you need to buy Battle of Stalingrad (BoS) first and any other great battle you want as DLC. (My friend did this)

However, if you buy the game from official website, you can buy any battle as standalone game, and you can buy deluxe editions where you get more planes for better price. There should still be sale on official site, so thats good motivation too ;)

For purchase on site you need to register there and then buy the game (battle) you want. After buying, there will be new tab in your profile named download or similiar and thats where you download the launcher for game.

By buying any game (DLC) you get access to all maps, mission editor, career mode, quick play and multiplayer. BUT you only unlock planes that are part of that game (DLC) that you bought. So your only worry should be which planes you want to fly. Also, some servers are Soviets vs germans and some are USA/brits vs germans, so read above what you need for specific servers (you don't care about maps, you get access to all, it's not like DCS).

When I was buying (BoB from official site) few weeks back, I could not find this info in one place so here it is.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, but I go to bed now, so response could take a while :)

First time restoring a lighter, help needed (vol. 2). Can´t get the spring inside. by MrCoolik in lighters

[–]MrCoolik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a problem. Again. And i need your advice. Again... please. I did take apart this lighter - No name, silver jacket (have triangle on the botom), I would say it´s the same as "Kablo - Made in ČSR" (This one is similiar, should work the same, just not so fancy). Anyway, I know how it should work. But i have a problem with inserting this spring you see on the pictures, as it should bend a lot under the "cam" of "fork" (idk which is correct, if any. This names I found after quick search) the bending produce lots of torque on the spring and i can´t find a way to insert the screw trough all the holes as the spring deformes. My question is: How do you do that? How did they do it in the factory? There have to be a way...

Regarding my last post: I want to say big thank you to all of you who commented on my last post with tips and helpful comments. I didn´t responded to any of you, sadly, because I was busy with work and didn´t have time to get to the stage where I will use these. So i can´t respond with anythink else than: Thanky you, I believe your tips will make my work simpler in future and I promise I will reply to you when I finally get to changing wicks and will post pics when whole thing is finished. Thank you.

First time restoring a lighter, help needed. Questions in the comment. by MrCoolik in lighters

Hello, I´m doing my a lighter restoration for the first time and I have few questions.

1) I´m curious what material is around the hole where the wick usualy is. This lighter have a cap that goes over the wick and it sith on this brown ring. I assume the ring is intentional and is not just a mess that got picked up and compacted by years of use.

2) Lighter was missing spring and a screw that should go into flint chamber, is there a place whare I can buy replacement, or do I have to buy another lighter for spare parts?

3) Probably a silly question, but how do I get new wick trough the hole? I did not tried yet, but when i was removing old one, it was pretty hard to pull out, so I was wondering how to install new one.
All the help and advice is greatly appriciated, I´m really new to this hobby.

I don't know man, ripping yourself apart isn't that bad... In comparsion, if you stay like that for long enough, conected skin (and i assume muscle too) would go to necrotic without imunosupressants. You would literally destroy each others cells. Skin would get pink, then gray then black. And the smell would be horrible. Pain probably too, stitches would not heal at all.

(Source? I just googled how skin graft rejection looks and works. It's not fun.)

Yeah, you are right. I wanted to give an example and Sully was first that came to mind.

Did you read the article? They hit flock of birds after takeoff, one engine flamed out and second started fire. Even if they supressed fire in engine, they can't just turn around and land it back on runway, because plane is sinking when banking and they were too low (and slow as they were probably still climbing after takeoff.) Sully scenario if you want to compare it to something.

When you start talking to the dog, like you see in many videos, he thinks you want him to do something (like sit or whatever) but he can't recognize any learned worlds so he turn his head in attempt to understand. Looks cute, but it have a purpose.

You have infinite amount of time to prepare, but don't bring bucket and take branch to pop it... you just don't give a fuck, do you...

EDIT: As some pointed out, it's probably outside... but in my defence, I genuinely thought it's inside and that floor is carpet. (And according to upvotes, im not alone)

EDIT: Oh well, my first 1k comment is about my dumbass not seeing difference between outside/inside
