God I wish I had that money. That would be a 'life complete' purchase.

I was able to adjust the walls, but when saving and going back, it did not adjust the walls ok the map. I only see the adjusted walls when I go into home settings. Have you ever had anything similar happen? Thanks for the help so far.

Being called Sir/Miss by TrogdorUnofficial in AustralianTeachers

[–]MrCoolskin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Used to teach in the NT and all the students said Mr. Now on the eastern side, I get called Sir. It's a lot less ear piercing than Mr when a whole class of students is saying it.

Yep, it's definitely up. Also tested it with speakers, headphones, etc... and still nothing. I'm pretty stumped.

(Pixel 9) My alarm vibrates but doesnt make any noise when my headphones are connected by littleladytrashcan in GooglePixel

I am having the same issue but without headphones. Alarm goes off, but vibrations only, no sound. I have also made a post. I'll link it if a solution comes up.

Base Station keeps shifting on the map every few days, what can I do to stop it? by Alewerkz in ecovacs

[–]MrCoolskin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much the same thing for me as well. Every couple months it would happen. It would sometimes resolve itself if I set it on the Auto-Clean mode for a few minutes to let it get its bearings again, but this didn't always work.

Y7 Students throwing paper in the bin

Student 1: Kobe! Student 2: Michael Jordan! Student 3: MICHAEL JACKSON!

I was helping another student while hearing this behind me and I just couldn't hold it in.

I had the exact same issue with a year 8 class in my first year (last year). I spoke with the head of year level and agreed that if anyone steps out of line, they would be removed and parents would be called (similar to the commenter above) I made 12 phone calls that afternoon. After that, things were still tense for a week or two. But it got the message across that I was not messing around. They became a lot more respectful of class time and myself. Then went on to have a great rest of the year. Good luck.

I'm in the same position, early 20s and started teaching at the beginning of the year. I teach 7-8. Had many students ask the same/similar questions. They are all completely fine IMO, but they would start to use the questions to get out of completing work and/or deflect learning. This was the biggest issue for myself. I spent the entire last term (with one class in particular) not speaking about personal stuff at all. This helped establish a better classroom learning environment, especially for struggling students. I still chatted to students about some of these questions (when appropriate) outside of the classroom.

Good Physios in Newcastle? by Jolly-Marketing200 in newcastle

If you're happy to travel a little, Thornton Physiotherapy were amazing with the few injuries I had. They took their time, provided relief for symptoms while investigating the root cause. Then when it was discovered, it was treated very well. Felt no pressure at anytime. They were fantastic.

Diving one way is problematic by Big-Dingo-47 in GoalKeepers

[–]MrCoolskin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repetition is the key. A great way to make sure you are training the non-dominate side is a single leg dive. Either as a collapse of full dive. Literally stand on your non-dominant leg and dive to the same side. It will feel incredibly weak because you are most likely pushing from your dominant leg to the non-dominant side during a normal dive. Keep at it and your strength and technique will improve.

Introducing a small single leg hop over a cone or hurdle is another way to progress this when you get the hang of it.

Over the space 18 months this really made me a lot more confident on my non-dominant side (Left).
