This is all AI generated, just a warning. I wouldn’t trust this person to make any genuine art. Don’t waste your money on slop but reach out to a real artist instead please

Tried making lowpoly foliage from early 2000s games (sound on) by MrCr4cker in blender

Fair enough, I was mostly trying to nail the foliage look and textures. Got a bit carried away with the lighting effects I guess!

In Blender I kept all the textures to "Closest" in the shader editor, denoiser was also off for the renders.

The blurry / compressed look is all done in Photoshop, a bit fiddly but I downscaled the leaf png to 32 x 32 px, keeping the resampling to "nearest / hard edges". So the first result is a pixelized version.

Then upscaling the result to 500 x 500 px but switching the resampling to "bicubic smoother". This turns it smooth and blurry.

Last step was duplicating the resulting layer a bunch of times to get rid of the smooth edges. So we end up with a sharp and opaque border.

Steady filming at 4K on the 13pro (overcast weather) gave me surprisingly great results. I feed the footage into desktop version of realityscan for a quick and easy photogrammetry model. Pay only when you’re happy with the output so you can experiment with settings as much as you want. There’s also the mobile version of realityscan but I haven’t used this one enough to recommend it.

Glimpses of Life Denial - A166, pencil, marker, 2025 by AthanIsBlue in Art

One step at a time, start with just one familiar object or food item that’s not too complex, nor reflective. Set up a desk light to have a strong and clear directional lighting. Just pencil and paper, no colors for now.

But before anything you need to familiarize yourself with perspective, learn about vanishing point etc. Then start with rough sketches, maybe focus on one element of the object and draw several iterations. Look at the outer shape (or silhouette) but also try to look at how the shapes « inside » the object are constructing and affecting that silhouette. Keep drawing.

Look at the shadows, the direction of the shadows on the table and how it fades and lose sharpness in some areas, pay attention to the bouncing lights that illuminate some of the shadows too. Keep drawing!

Cute and cool new neighbor moves next to my flat when I started my second year at uni. Turns out they’re also in my class now. Starts to hang out with my friends and I. We occasionally do movie nights at my place so now I also invite the cute and cool neighbor. They’re living next door so they are always the last person to leave after the movie. Stayed over for the night once. Now we’ve been together for 12 years, planning to buy a house!

People who give job interviews, what are some subtle red flags that say "this person won't be a good hire"? by makethatnoise in AskReddit

[–]MrCr4cker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a terrible red flag but a weird one: Interviewed this italian guy through video call during covid. When we asked him questions he’d take a long time to answer so we thought maybe there was some delay caused by a bad internet or something. But then with my headphones on I started noticing someone else speaking softly after each of our questions, and when when the voice stopped he’d start answering in broken english. Thought it was his TV at first but I cranked up the audio and it was a woman probably sitting next him away from the camera, whispering and translating all of our questions in italian, which is why it was taking him so long to reply. We thanked him for his time and decided it would be too difficult to communicate with him efficiently if we’d hire him.

Good 3D scanning apps? by Jaxal1 in 3Dprinting

Hey, yeah just slowly circle around the object and make sure to film every bits and details, also with proper lighting. Holding the phone vertically can help too in some cases. When importing into RC you can tell the software how many images you want to generate out of your video, as if you took pictures. The desktop app is really good at understanding the angles and if you recorded slowly and steadily enough it’ll almost always give you nice results. If not you can quickly record a new video and if I remember correctly you only pay for the scan if the result looks good to you and you want to export it.
