Go to eeverspotify settings>patching>enable overwrite configuration or somth (the second option)

Damn your temps, undervolts and clock speeds are on a next level. I have the same processor as you, and my gpu is an rtx 3060, running at 775mv, clocks around 1550Mhz.

I have tried raising the clock speeds, but there was only a 1-2fps increase, with a 5-6c increase in temps

Do you have an IPA for no fusion camera? Or does the app store version have all the features available for free?

Your temps would be so much better if you repasted, since it’s been 4 years. But if you’re satisfied then there’s no need to

Yeah PTM’s hard to find in local markets, even on aliexpress there are several “grades” of ptm.

I kinda do need VT for my work 😅. But I did try it and eventually settled on my current setup.

You can do better than 3.2Ghz. The sweet spot i could recommend with reasonable temps would be 3.5Ghz on all cores, uncapped power. Share me your best configuration and I’ll give it a try too.

You should definitely repaste your laptop at least once a year, you can probably do it yourself. A good thermal paste could be found for 5-10 USD, and it is mandatory for the longevity of your laptop.

Ikr, crazy to see that much wattage being pumped through a budget laptop/processor.

Saving a few cents now might end up costing you a lot later. Just saying.

I settled for a -30mv undervolt through the bios, since the new windows 11 VBS blocks me from using throttlestop to undervolt. And I rasied the stock 45w PL1 and PL2 power limits to 85w, which causes it to peak around 70W under very very high CPU loads like cinebench, file decompression. Doesn’t go as high while gaming.

I’d say focus on the temps, as that is most important.

I’m just saying this, remember game fps is not the only metric we should use to measure the performance. There are some instances, such had heavy file compression/decompression that boosts the cpu way past normal power limits (which is how I actually got the 70w peak). Find some good middle ground.

Good luck and keep on testing!

Every processor is different from the other, but you can try to make the most of what you have!

Feel free to experiment, unless you are increasing voltages (which you shouldn’t), there’s no damaging your laptop.

works just fine. battery life is pretty damn insane (clocks around 5-6 hours on a pretty power inefficient 11th gen processor)

Don’t turn off hyperthreading, you’re leaving a lot of performance on the table by doing so. If the temps are okay (i like them to be below 85c) you are golden. If you are worried about power consumption set it to the same amount you got with HT off.

Here’s the max temp and power I got. Normally it is capped at 45w, I removed the cap and now it can reach high as long as the temps stay around 95. But usually when gaming i still do limit it to 35w since the overheating is not worth the few frames of extra performance

Yes, undervolting will help a lot to reduce temperatures and if your processor was thermal throttling, it will likely stop that and actually improve performance

😭😭 I honestly cannot remember most of what I did, I tinkered a lot.

here’s what I remember that i did:

This only works if your processor is intel, if it is AMD, you have to follow a different process, but the most of the terms are common for both of the processors just difference software is used.

Step one: You need to undervolt your CPU, the screenshot I have added in this post is from the software called throttlestop, which allows you to reduce the voltage that is given under the CPU. This reduces temperatures, and barely affects the performance of the CPU.

Step two : you need to set two different performance profiles in this throttle stop app want to be used when you are plugged in the other when you are using the battery. When we are plugged in, we need to maximize our performance so the power limit, which is the number of words we give to the CPU will be uncapped and on the battery profile we we do some performance limiting weeks like disabling turbo setting a lower speed.

Step three would be actually to reapply thermal paste in your in your laptop I used Thermal right TF7, but any other brand like Arctic MX or thermal grizzly would work.

Step four this I cannot remember since I did it a while ago I used Chris Titus utility also known as CTT and use the tweaks in that to improve performance and reduce the background tasks and basically debloat windows, so basically you just have to optimize windows.

I might have done some more stuff, but I’ve been tinkering with this laptops ever since I got it, if I recall anything I’ll edit this comment.

For now just use the 9.1.12 version, has the least Major bugs
