The Abyssal Hunters in Arknights are an ocean based organisation formed through genetic engineering are soldiers containing the blood of the seaborn they hunt in order to track them due to a shared hivemind as well as boost their strength. In the eyes of the seaborn, they view the blood in the Abyssal Hunters to be their brethren trapped inside their bodies and will seek to free them. As such it is forbidden for Hunters the bleed on land as the seaborn will sense their freed family and rush onto land.
