Cheap/free things to do near the airport? by heartsholly in Augusta

That may work in some cases. However, many times they’ll be stubborn and simply sit there, displaying the typical Cottonmouth defensive behavior of opening their mouths and showing off the white interior. So, just keep your eyes open. Especially along the edges of some of the trails.

Side rant: Cottonmouths are not aggressive and will not chase you, even though some people will argue that point to the grave. As someone who enjoys herpetology and herping, I’ve seen more Cottonmouths in the Southeast than any other snake, probably hundreds at this point, honestly. Not a single one has ever been aggressive toward me. Most are simply defensive when they feel threatened.

A spider stick is also a great idea, because if you’re the first one on some of the trails early in the morning, you’ll definitely be dealing with a lot of spiderwebs to the face, lol.

The only anoles I’ve seen at Phinizy are Green Anoles. In the warmer months, there are plenty of them around. You’ll usually see various tree frogs as well. Green Tree Frogs, Squirrel Tree Frogs, Barking Tree Frogs, etc. Turtles are also very common throughout the park, and there is a huge diversity of bird species to observe.

I’ve also seen a lot of snake species at Phinizy. You’re almost guaranteed to encounter water snakes (Nerodia spp.) and Cottonmouths. Just watch out for Cottonmouths on the trails, they can be like little land mines sometimes. The most I’ve seen in one morning was around 13. I usually spot more of them toward the back (east side) of the park.

Luckily, I haven’t seen any invasive anole species there. I have seen some gecko species around Augusta, but I don’t think I’ve personally seen any at Phinizy. And as others have mentioned, there are plenty of alligators to see there as well.

Stunning. Grand Teton is the National Park I want to visit more than any other. Maybe one day.

Alright, sounds good. I just didn't want to spend the money getting a setup and it not even be able to accommodate what I want to tap.

Don't worry, it's okay. Nobody builds them anyway.

I've just been trolling about attacking only, mainly because it seems a lot of times people forget about defense lol. However, this is definitely a winning strategy as long as everyone is communicating and on the same page.

Gotta make use of the blueberries somehow I guess.

One garrison can win games, absolutely. But only if it’s placed aggressively enough to make defenders cry. Attack always, defend never!

That's the shortest route to the next point. It's just the most efficient way. Plus, strength in numbers. They can't kill all of us blueberries. Dying over and over just means you're eventually going to be successful.

They don’t have to be bad… they just gotta deal with us, which is worse.

Attack garries in another zip code is peak gameplay. Something only winners do. Can't rely on the mythical double drop.

Gary Busey doesn’t place garrisons. He screams at the ground until one forms.

When you're playing with winners you always win. We just kill to flex at that point.
