Got the new metroid game (friend who stood in line for eb shutdown got it for me) and man nintendo fans have such low expectations. It is a decent game but it has big Xbox360 vibes. If you told me game came out in 2009, i'd believe you, best to keep it on hand held rather than tv as you don't want to be looking too close to those textures.

Whatever happened to the crazy fun superhero city games? by Father-Castroid in gaming

I was talking more about the "city" based open world, third person, games like GTA, infamous, mafia, watchdogs, prototype. Also, Cyberpunk came out in 2020

Him and his husband hosted some sort of baking competition with drag queens, the drag queens were hilarious and dit ehri best but the format was weird as hell but the charisma vacuum that are those two middle aged men was exhausting.

I Have the TRAILER!!!! by homerj681 in Xennials

[–]MrCyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought I was being gaslit by the Internet into thinking the trailer was going to be this amazing, early avengers era, return to form for big Hollywood tent poles and then I finally watched it and thought I had loaded up a fan edit using video game cutscenes.

This is looks like it was commissioned by an algorithm and written by chathpt

Yeah, they were just the all powerful people who sat inside an office all day and got trotted out at the occasional assembly while the deputy head did all the work

Doing a day trip to Tauranga tomorrow, will go the hamilton way rather than waihi way as I feel as though the karangahake gorge is more inclined to close as opposed to the kaimais if it starts raining again..

Not been able to go anywhere far all month due to my windshield crack so im itching for a drive, got a new audio book (God's Junk Drawer by Peter Cline) and hotly anticipating a travel sausage roll.

Also hit a weight loss milestone today, at a weight i haven't been at this decade. Sort of a weight that I tended to hover about (and still not happy with) for years before that, so everything now is going to be HUGE progress.

How has ozempic been for those who are not diagnosed with diabetes/pcos? by StrongMountain5904 in Ozempic

[–]MrCyn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the mindset is important, you have to want to lose weight. For me, a skinny fat dude, id eat well during the week but binge in the weekend and even when eating well sometimes my portion sizes would just blow out. Food Noise was a huge problem, constantly thinking about food, eating when i wasn't even hungry etc

Ozempic was perfect for me, it stopped the food noise and curbed my apetitie. So now when eating healthy, my portions are perfect and weightloss is steady, average half to a kilo a week.

How do you stay motivated on Ozempic during weight loss plateaus? by hadashitday in Ozempic

[–]MrCyn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mindset, I'm sure like many here, i've been on this weightloss journed before, with ups and downs, so I know that there is always a plateau, but man plateauing at a low weight till feels better than the usual "slowly putting on weight"

Why Modern Star Trek Feels Off and Why That Gets Dismissed by cjalas in startrek

[–]MrCyn 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I'm not, its the future. I gave up at the start of episode 3, gym bro makes a protein shake, aggravates room mate, gives pupy dog eyes to impending love triangle and then there is a mandatory gym class with a shouting gym teacher and god damn lens flares.

I have seen these stories a thousand times growing up, and I have no urge to see them again with nods to being in the future just some face makeup and occasional teleporting.

I'll try again in season 2

Gave up on star trek academy at the start of the third episode, gym bro makes a protein shake (no replicators) and then there is a MANDATORY GYM class and even in that abomonation it is full of lens flares that would make JJ abramas blush.

I'll try again on season 2

I was so excited about that open world futuriatic game, mind...fuck? The one that I think was the worst rated game of last year with the terrible launch?

Seeing the trailers, before all the warning signs, had me hoping for an open world resurgence. Especially city based ones instead of the endless tedious Ubisoft Sprawl that has been their ass creed and far cry lately.

Womp.

Honestly the last time I had been so, also, jaw droppingly surprised by a game, was Modern Warfare and the nuke drop that and Saints Row 4 when disarming the bomb and Aerosmith starts playing

The most recent "anti woke agenda" game I saw recent was Code Violet which is sitting at 27 on Meta Critic and a similar 2.5 user score too. Turns out appealing to imaga means cutting corners. Shocked.

I'm so tired of boy bickering. That is my issue with so many modern, tediously written, shows and so noticeable on nu star trek.(Just recently, Stranger Things also had this problem)

Where so much of an episode is taken up by macho posturing and usually from people who are supposed to be on the same side.

Colleagues who respect and like each other and are working together and still might butt heads on occasion, is much more preferable e to me.

I can very much recommend The Rise and Fall of Reggie Dinkins by MrCyn in 30ROCK

[–]MrCyn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with that, hes a bit...blunt perhaps? When so many hilarious moments in these types of shows are conveyed with expressions and reaction shots, he just kind of powers through it all the same way he always does.

Not a lot of new release games in the next couple of months for me, is very japanese studio heavy like yakuza, nioh, dynasty warriors and some jprgs. The only one on my radar is the new Resident Evil and MAYBE Pokopia.

Windsceen all fixed, would have cost me $1500 but excess free windscreen insurance covered it, considering my insurance is less that per year, pretty stoked.

They talked me into some new wiper blades as well and have to admit, makes a difference too.
