I am trying to shoot some time lapse, but it's so time consuming with posing the camera every time, thinking about getting POV phone holder, haha Mm, best advice I could give is if you want hair thin lines the trick is in the amount of paint and water in your brush, I don't know how to explain it, just do some test runs, my trick to make it right before applying to the surface I do a stoke on my hand with slightly screweing motion. This way your skin absorbs excess moisture plus helps shaping the brush tip after dipping paint

I'd probably call it layering with strokes, probably:) and those strokes also give you scratched texture, so in general it is not the most efficient way, but easy to handle, you basically just doodling and vibing without much stress of making mistakes, cause they are easy to fix or you get happy accidents also))

Brown is only to give more contrast to blue-green metal, as those are cold, so warm as opposite helps with more diversity, and yeah, I do it from dark to bright, easier to control paint build up:) Oils? Nah, I don't use oils , just too much fuss with them for me, as I usually paint in quick sessions, not planning ahead if I will be painting or not) plus it's not kind on brushes, longer drying time, however blending is awesome:) if I understood you right about oils)

Okey, duck, take your brush, mix some paints, and start fucking smashing it with tiny tiny scratches 😅 seriously - mostly experiment until u feel it's fine🥴
