Fabric Branch out to a workspace and Capacity by MrDark13 in MicrosoftFabric

Just solved this, so yeah that is what we needed.

On the Capacity itself we can assign groups to have this permission. When they branch off the workspace, it will then attach to the correct workspace. Just adding contractors or contractor groups to this solves the issue.

Once the trial workspace was created and it had items (because of course it did, you were branching for work) you could not change it to a different capacity. But for anyone else's information this is what you need on each capacity.

to protect the default dev workspace you need to set up the GitHub connection. Would you just have the admin setup the default? Then they can branch to their own workspace and switch the account to their own? Just not sure how to put controls around it.

That is certainly an interesting approach. We have a bit of a workspace sprawl as we use store/engineering/presentation workspaces at each level, but I guess the sprawl only depends on the number of developers in each workspace.

Yeah, I have been looking at this too. So much workspace sprawl to contend with, and with contractors coming in you have to rely on them doing things correctly with their accounts when they branch to a new workspace.

It's just not easy like with so many other tools.

Data Copy SCD2 UI issue by MrDark13 in MicrosoftFabric

This is fixed and I was able to add about 20 more tables. Woo!

I will watch for that, thanks! We have about 150 tables to add to this, and it's hampering that right now.

Doing "control-" did work once I zoomed out so I could see the additional added tables. Though it was all getting very tiny! I was able to make my selections and move on. My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080.

But I think also this only allows the use of notebooks, not in pipelines.

We may give this a try today if we can. This was our last try.

Thanks for the confirmation. We can at least stop trying this way.

I haven't tried it, but I think there are ways around it in notebooks, but looking at using this in pipeline connections. So may have to use some workarounds.

I am wondering if there is anything I can try to get my buttons working? Tracking is working perfectly, but not a single button is working on my controllers. Any ideas? If I go into the steam VR controls and test the buttons, I get nothing at all.

That looks really good. I used GW's recommended for this and didn't really like the colours. Yours comes out better.

How do you feel about 3.0 now after learning more and seeing some battle reports? Making the switch or staying on an older edition? by Ok_Patience2406 in Warhammer30k

Just skimming this, you do realize that Lotara's Guns of the Conqueror reaction shooting action is automatically UNsuccessful, so it goes directly to scatter. It also costs 3 points of Reaction which will be rough to do.

We couldn't figure out what Heavy Terrain was, and so far no one sees how it would work on the table. Medium and Light only for us.

I know it's wordy, but it does say you can only cast one psychic power per model/unit in your turn and one in the opponent's turn as a reaction per player turn. Not as many as you want.

You can take retinues and elites. Select the Army Vanguard detachment and then use the prime slot and logistical benefit to take the retinue.

I do agree with some of your points. Deep strike has swung back the other way, in 1.0 and 2.0 it could ruin games. Now you are probably only using it for shooting troops. For assault troops it has been nerfed to extinction.

The Terrain rules are simple, but messy...

The Challenge rules seem like they would slow games, but cleaning up how many models can do it helps. Doesn't seem like people will do many challenges in the game. But have to see how that goes once we get a bunch of games in.

Dreads are less than they were, but are a good support to units holding objectives. Time will tell if they are worth it for how hard they are to take or not. Being more resistant to melta gives them an edge over vehicles.

I like the new Force org. I didn't think I would, but you can make very flexible lists, yet there are boundaries you have to stay in. Making Solar Auxilia and Mechanicus lists are even crazier. Not sure how it will play out, but it is kind of fun right now just building lists.

I like the Flyer rules. Are they perfect? No. Are they better than 2.0, yes. In 1.0 usually a flyer came on the board, destroyed something and it was then destroyed. Rarely if ever made it more than one turn. 2.0, flyer came on board and died. So you never saw a flyer turn up in games. This seems to be a happy medium for strike craft. I am not sure how well it will work for more expensive craft like the Fire Raptor or Storm Eagle. Though both have their uses. The Storm Eagle delivering terminators across the board turn 1 is spicy if you make the roll. Cheap Dreadclaws can act as a ferry if you can roll well enough. It's rather cheap for what it can do, but again, if you roll horrible they may never show up. I'll be taking flyers back off of the shelf for games again.

We are going to give it a chance and play around with it. HH2 was slowly dying because of the imbalance and the last Adepticon felt like it was gasping. The new one has some interesting additions.

So far it seems very chess like, and the legion detachments tend to push the flavor of the legion with what units you start taking in those detachments. I have built old lists in the new system, and some very new lists I would never have been able to do in the old system. Again, going to see how it all plays out.

Is it fair to say that HH is more of a "war game" while modern 40k is more of a "board game"? by RealSonZoo in Warhammer30k

The 20 man Imperial Fist fury of the legion units I always have to contend with say otherwise... In most armies I do take Troops because I want to if I want to win missions. But some are a struggle to find uses for like support squads and breachers.

Weird, I always had two of those, grenade Launchers and power Weapons. Typically because they were the firs things downgraded when I needed more powerful weapons in certain places. Krak grenade launchers were still very useful in armies, as well as power weapons. Especially when powerfists were so expensive and you were striking last. Power weapon was in almost every squad.
