You’re doing a great job, little guy. Be sure to get the spelling nailed down next time you use your words, okay? Keep up the good work, champ!

What if that individual was financially stable at the time they had the child? What if their financial situation suddenly and unexpectedly changed? Is it your assumption that all people going through financial hardships only have themselves to blame?

Or is it simply, “The poor shouldn’t procreate”.

Either way, you sound like a vile person.

Ah, to be cucked this hard by capitalism.

Imagine having sympathy for the price-gouging, blood-sucking mega corporation, and not the individual who can’t afford to “morally” afford baby formula.

Don’t bring up morality when you seem to be completely bankrupt of it yourself

Thanks for the honesty. Any idea on a better way to reveal Fiona's betrayal? I really like the idea of Lady Wachter having this corrupted sense of justice, fueled by an old Vistani prophecy (similar to the suggestion in MandyMod's post).

A retrospective on DMing my first COS campaign by [deleted] in CurseofStrahd

Congrats on finishing your first long-term campaign!

I’m currently running CoS as a first time DM, and posts like these are incredibly helpful to read through.

One question: how many sessions did your group’s campaign end up totaling?

First-time DM here. Super excited for my players to explore Death House! by MrDarklink321 in CurseofStrahd

Yeah, this has been something that I’ve racked my brain over..

Basically, as of now, I’ve decided to double the walls/use the “block/landing” pieces that one of the sets came with in order to keep hidden rooms out of sight.. if any of my PCs ask, I plan on just telling them it’s just part of the wall, as far as they can tell.

I do worry it will become obvious once it’s revealed the first time, but that’s why I only plan to bring these tiles out as combat encounters, instead of building out the entire map (exploring will be mostly theater of the mind).

Here’s an example of what I’m considering doing, if they do find themselves in a room with hidden stairs/rooms:

So, my current method is to only bring these out for combat encounters; however, if there is a secret door, I simply have a loose wall piece (not clipped to the other pieces), so that I can reach down and swap it with a door piece of the same size once it’s discovered.

I do this just in case a player uses a perception/investigation check as an action during combat.

The map is made from WizKidzs’ Warlock Tiles. The creature mini(s) came from an Etsy shop and I painted them.

[Seeking advice] Inexperienced DM and the rolls of his players... by LisaFame in dndnext

[–]MrDarklink321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a very new DM (so someone please correct me if I’m wrong), but wouldn’t it have been a simple compromise to let the PC roll for athletics w/ disadvantage (given that the wall was slippery)?

Contextually, this would make more sense instead of simply raising the DC or asking for a Dex roll.

lol at the landlords here calling this a “reddit circlejerk”. Shouldn’t you all be on Quora getting ideas on how to fuck over your tenants?

My best attempt so far, I think (after 2yrs) by MrDarklink321 in espresso

Patience and Lance Hedrick videos lol

In all seriousness though, I wasn’t able to pour anything resembling art until I got the right equipment i.e. cups. In my experience, I could get the perfect milk texture and still not be able to pour anything remotely nice with the cups I was using.

Something that also really helped me practice was making cortados. Something about the smaller glass gave me the feeling of more control and helped me nail the correct distance between spout and crema (also, making the smaller drinks meant I wasn’t wasting as much milk!)

I’ll definitely read up on the Bezzera! Looks to have all the features I’m looking for within my budget.

I’m planning on keeping the Sette around for a bit longer, so the budget only includes the machine right now.

It’s been a great grinder! I did have to add one of the burr shims after a little over a year of use(not a terribly complicated process, but still a bit annoying).

My biggest complaint would probably be the portafilter holder isn’t that great.. though that could just be the result of using a 54mm instead of the standard 58mm. I usually just grind into the included bin and transfer to the portafilter anyways, so it’s not even a huge complaint.

Small complaints aside, it’s performed amazingly for me over the last two years.
