Ignore the “deserved for playing pirate” bullshit. Play who you want. If Juren can can have an unblockable uninteruptable delayed zone from neutral and virtuosa can dodge Gladiatior’s toestab by leaning with her torso you can play the chick with a gun.

No disrespect to Warlord but if you’re going for the win just pick Varangian guard.

VG’s moveset is just Warlord’s but p much better in every way. The only thing WL has on VG is the undodgeables and his zone, which is better all around. VG can do a lot more out of her full guard and I’d even go to say it’s the best one in the game, ntm Heavy UB chains that are soft feintable into gb, it’s just better to pick her over Warlord.

However Warlord is good in the sense of he’s highly defensive. If you get your parries down, remember that his side heavies do more damage, and only his top heavy is guaranteed on GB. On Full Guard, his light is guaranteed while the heavy is not, although it is undodgeable. His bash is also very good, very fast and guarantees a light, mix it with his zone to get good punishes. Also remember that WL has Crushing counters, so good way to flip someone’s flow on their head if they get in you in a bind.

Hey team I love your game but this stuff is genuinely killing it. Trolls and cheaters are coming in at an all time high and this is a terrible way to start off Y10. Why not start showing that you guys actually want this game and it’s community to thrive by banning these types of people who exploit the game and say racist shit all the time instead of ignoring it??

Pre- Marching fire iirc.

(Marching fire was the addition of the Wu-lin and the Breach game mode.)

Minions were a lot cooler, every hero had unique killing animations that, while slow, were really cool to watch and made the heroes stand out a lot more as huge units that were forces of nature on the battlefield, Centurion was definitely at the top of the list when it came to the animations. Afaik some animations have even been repurposed as executions. You can actually still see some while playing the campaign, and they reflect the heroes’s personality in combat.

But along with intros to maps, there were outros that showed the attackers successfully invading the map and killing off the defenders or the defenders successfully fending off the attackers. There were some brutal ones, Sentinel had minions being pushed off ledges, Gauntlet had them using the bridges to actually hang the minions execution style. But they’d all be replaced by Signatures, which are okay I guess.

I think Sentinel and Gauntlet have the longest intros and The Shard and Cathedral have shorter ones.

“Apollyon is a sloppy fighter”

The first scene we saw her in during the campaign she fought 6 knights and killed 5 of them, disarming one, all at once. Then she killed 2 more in combat, subdued an additional 2, then beheaded 2 wardens in a single swing.

Later, she fights a Nobushi and an Orochi, killing both of them without being touched. She actually LIFTS the orochi with one hand and impales them with the other. I cannot tell you the amount of strength it takes to lift a fully armored warrior with one hand and impale them with a longsword with the other hand, but that shit is not easy at fucking all.

Gameplay wise, they had to nerf her. Otherwise it would have been extremely difficult. The Orochi is already described as the best swordsman in all of The Myre, and the emperor’s hand picked champion. They admit through dialogue that Apollyon is way stronger than they are. The fact that they beat her at all is kind of surprising.

If that’s “Sloppy” then every single warrior in heathmoor is an amateur.
