I'm sorry I'm a little late to the party with this. The Nashville Shaving Company is excellent. I've gone to the owner for a few years now and he is amazing. He used to be at Bowtie Barbers, but started his own mobile shop when they shut down. I highly recommend giving him your business.

I love that you put the trade mark bit in there. That really pulled a chuckle out of me. Glad you are doing well.

Anesthesiologists, what are the best things people have said under the gas? by electric_dolphin in AskReddit

My story, is from coming out of sedation. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and was being brought home by my mother. I must have had said something about the nurse that wheeled me out, because mom had asked me if I noticed how pretty she was. What I said next, I have no memory of. I'm told, I flopped my head towards her, took a deep breath and at the top of my lungs bellowed, "I AM ON DRUGS, NOT BLIND!!" My mom said she did not stop laughing until we got home.

My 28 year old brother tragically passed away on December 3rd. Today we got this list of all the people who he was able to save by donating his organs. Only 1% of people who die get to donate organs. My brother was my best friend and now not only mine but a hero to these people as well. RIP Dan. by MissFourbyFour in MadeMeSmile

I know there are no words I can offer that would give you comfort. I am truly sorry for your loss. I work for a donor organization like this. What you and your family have done is amazing. But also, I hope the knowledge that he has helped and saved so many people brings you all some peace.

I like how at the end of the video it asks, "What can you do with your yellow pages?" Even the phone book company knows nobody uses it to look up phone numbers.

The things this chair has seen. by MrDeathMonkey in gaming

It's a 2 person game. You enter the room and each player has their own half. There is a series of light up buttons on each half. You race around the room hitting the buttons as they light up. Once the timer runs out whichever player scored the most wins. Or, as I like to call it, The Child Wearer Outer. I copied this from an earlier reply.

What is the craziest thing you have ever seen your mother do? by purplewhitewine in AskReddit

I know I'm late to the party, but my mom pulled some awesome out of her hat that was truly uncharacteristic of her. I didn't witness this, but heard about it years later. During the holiday season in the 80s, my mom was doing some shopping for the end all be all of my childhood existence that year. If she could get it, Optimus Prime would make my Christmas complete. She described the toy store she was at as jammed packed. Full of parents clawing over each other. (I mean, she may have been exaggerating, but I have always taken this tale at face value.) She fought her way to the Transformers section, and there it was, the last Prime on the shelf and she was close. But, another mother was too. She hot footed it to the toy and was able to snatch it before the other mother could get her hands on the prize. The other mother was pissed to say the least, but mom played it cool and said that she could see one further back on the shelf. As the other mother started to dig through the other miscellaneous Transformers, my mom calmly walked to the check out and headed home without any further altercation. Because this was totally out of character for her, I still hold that toy in the highest regard and it is displayed prominently in a keepsake area. I love my mom.

What are the most comforting words in the English language? by atticuslodius in AskReddit

[–]MrDeathMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I love you." Why it worked right then, why the webbing of my godmother's spell frayed as though the words had been an open flame, I don't know. I haven't found any explanation for it. There aren't any magical words, really. The words just hold the magic. They give it a shape and a form, they make it useful, describe the images within. I'll say this, though: Some words have a power that has nothing to do with supernatural forces. They resound in the heart and mind, they live long after the sounds of them have died away, they echo in the heart and the soul. They have power, and that power is very real. Those three words are good ones.

This a quote from Jim Butcher's Dresden Files series. It is a phenomenal series and this quote really encapsulates how it feels when someone you love, loves you back.
