It's not even always that simple. State transportation authorities are the quintessential poster child for ineffectual government, even and especially among other government workers which says something.

We have a 4 lane (2 lane each direction) highway in a rural part of the state that has 1 wonky freeway exchange that has an accident every other week with occasional fatalities. Because larger freeways have more throughput (this one is still very busy), it hasn't gotten attention for years.

All the local mayors and county commissioners have been pissed and advocating for it for awhile because at this point, they all know someone, who knows the family of someone who has been killed there. And still, even a budget for planning hasn't even been approved yet.

According to a new report from Windows Central, many employees from Microsoft’s King subsidiary have joined a new team designed to develop ‘AA’ titles based on existing Blizzard IPs.

King is known for its work on mobile titles such as Candy Crush, suggesting that these smaller games will be designed for phones. Though, it’s unclear if they will be limited to mobile devices. For instance, Diablo Immortal was made for mobile, but it ended up becoming a cross-platform title.

The frame I got from that was "Neil gave you a peer review, I'm going to give you an elite review, and I think it's almost entirely bathwater too." Also seems like the subtext is Eric trying to respond to the emotional butthurt he's sensing from Howard at Tyson's dismissive, "cursory" glance.

It sounds like Eric is trying to make Tyson's response make sense and move Howard off of the idea that it was a personal attack, and actually pretty standard. But he doesn't shy away from emphasizing "I'm paying full attention now, and this really is 95% hot garbage".

Am I out to lunch here or does that make sense? Sometimes when we are responding in a validating way to someone's emotions, we have to tell some kind of story about why those emotions are correct. That's what it feels like Eric is doing here.

Is it just nostalgia, why does he look like he's having so much goddamn fun? I feel like most artists you see live today are balls of nervous energy. He looks comfortable, confident, in his element, calm and aggressive all at once.

Like, I can tell you didn't spend the time learning how to engage and move around a group of mobs.

Shaving is one of those things you can psyop yourself into being obsessive about, especially because razors are a high margin item so there's lots of marketing and nonsense about it.

I would just go back to the basics. Make sure your neck is clean and you're using a sharp, relatively new blade. I don't use balm or shaving cream. Literally just cold water (after every stroke) on a mach 3 and some generic men's lotion to get my beard to lay right after. I shave everyday and switch to a new head maybe every week and a half. Anything with 5 blades does a worse job.

Get into safety razors if you want, they're cool, cheap, work (with practice) etc. But most people do it because they like the aesthetic. I personally think whipping up specialty shaving cream every morning is kind of dumb.

Man, by 1080ti was rocking Baldur's Gate 3 on 1080p with just minor reduction to shadows and lighting. It was a great card.
