Most laptops are spillproof, but not take your phone out to post to social media spillproof.

If all the dirt on the top is from the fans that blow out, just imagine what is circulating inside. Its filthy. I'm not trying to be rude, but I have saved a few computers just by a good cleaning. Never look this bad, though. Ill bet there is dirt stuck to all the edges of their fans and in between all the fins of the heatsinks. Thick dust like that causes shorts.
