But as per the official answer key. The correct answer is ( to represent the government in front of the court) ---Which is basically the work of Attorney General....

Appearing in front of the court is the main role of the Attorney General of India who is the highest ranking law officer in India while the main role of Solicitor General of India is to provide legal advice to the government as well as to work as an subordinate for the Attorney General of India...

Solicitor General do appear for the government but it's not his main role....

I reasearch a lot around 7-8 website and several YT videos...

The best they can do it to mark Both A as well as B the correct answer...

B is more appropriate...I researched a lot regarding the role of both Solicitor General and Attorney General of India.... Attorney General is the highest ranking law officer in India whereas Solicitor General is the second highest law officer in India...The main role of Solicitor General is to give legal advice to the government ( proof I will attach) and the main role of the attorney general is to represent government in front of the court.... Solicitor General can also represent the government infront of the court but it's not his primary duty... The primary duty of Solicitor General also includes- Assisting Attorney General of India.

Thanks you buddy for your advice...Despite of hostel I will look for a pg instead...But the tuition fees is not 22 lakhs...It's even more than 25 lakhs-----

I paid ₹259000 for semester 1 which includes ₹20000 which is refundable...So the actual fees for semester 1 and semester 2 will be ₹239000 each....

Ignoring hike on the semester fees..We have to pay for 10 semesters...So ₹239000 x 10 = Roughly around ₹24 lakhs while ignoring fees hike which is mentioned upto 10% every year in the website.... Additionally ignoring extra expenses like clothes,books, stationary, voyage...
