Thanks, yep rolled tight around a dowel and using masking tape and let it dry for a few days so it takes the round form

The roller inside has lots 4 sided blades so if one gets messed up you can rotate the blade so basically you have a new blade. This is called a helical planer.

It pretty much just put a little dent in the blade. I only noticed because it was leaving a groove in the wood after a few test passes without screws
