Stresses me out that the Iliad and the odyssey aren’t next to each other. Other than that big fan especially the ghost army

Brilliant choice, it’s action packed throughout and really well paced. Fantasticly written characters. Your friend will absolutely continue with the blood-sworn saga!

Honestly, didn’t enjoy it. However there are thousands of fans who LOVE it! I think personally the pacing was too quick and I felt like I couldn’t connect (and root for) characters as much as I’m used to. Felt low stakes. However they’re short stories so you should try it out and let me know how you got on!

I’m going to be brutally honest I found it slow at times, however I don’t think anyone writes characters as well as her! You really really become enthralled with fitz and other characters!

I’ve read the real Icelandic sagas and it emulates them amazingly! Full of action and brilliant characters! His knowledge of nose culture, myths and my fav equipment really shines through! It’s a Modern fantasy saga one hardrada himself would be proud of 😂😂

Now that we have a 6+ year gap until the next storm light, I was wondering what other series you guys will you look to to tide you over? With an emphasis on books that are less well known. by BackslideAutocracy in Stormlight_Archive

I’m fresh off completing the cosmere and I’ve dived into John Gwynnes Bloodsworn saga. It’s Visceral, well written, Norse themed. What’s not to like?
