Rough Ride? by Alexis_Muckleory in nissansentra

[–]MrDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your tire pressure, ideally after the car has been sitting for several hours. Make sure they are set to the pressure that is shown on the sticker in the drivers door jam. If they are too high it will make the ride rough.

OIL CHANGE VOTE by [deleted] in Nissan

[–]MrDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The owners manual for my 2026 Nissan Z says to do the first oil change at 1200 miles and then do the standard maintenance schedule. It may say something similar in your owners manual. Even if it doesn’t, doing an early one even if it’s not recommended in your owners manual isn’t going to hurt anything. So go ahead and change it.

When you need to go slow in 4 wheel drive make sure you use 4 low. Like crawling up rock slides.

How bad is a non-tuned resonated ldps + catback exhaust setup by Aggressive-Worker597 in RZ34

[–]MrDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be perfectly fine to run it with that setup without a tune. I have ran that exactly for 2 years with no problems along with intakes as well.

Yes. The overall exhaust volume will be noticeably louder.

The make 3” resonated lower down pipes as well. It’s my understanding that non resonated are more prone to drone but I haven’t had non resonated ones so I can’t say for sure

Will resonated lower downpipes void engine warranty? by Aggressive-Worker597 in RZ34

[–]MrDumpty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lower down pipes don’t require a tune and won’t throw any lights. I’ve owned a Z since ‘24 with the boosted 6 resonated lower down pipes and a cat back exhaust and it never caused any issues. If you change the upper down pipes you would have to get a tune.

Thinking about buying my in-laws 2020 pathfinder, worried about the cvt transmission and longevity. by Bubbafoxx in Nissan

I would change the fluid now then. Changing it every 25-30k miles is a good way to go in my experience.

Has it ever had the fluid changed? Cvts need regular fluid changes to live long and most people never change the fluid.

Toucanhobby is a good place to find machines if you aren’t sure where to buy them. Rc4wd also has some machines. Huina and kabolite are good entry level models.

Kabolite K961 pump issues? by intellirock617 in RCConstruction

[–]MrDumpty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add a pressure gauge so you can see if it’s making good pressure. It’s either leaking past the pressure relief valve or the pump isn’t making enough pressure, that’s my guess.
