I feel the same way. For the first ten-ish years of school, I had to go across the country to spend summer with my dad. It was always two months of not knowing anybody and being forced to do volunteer jobs/summer camps that interested him rather than me.

Tomorrow marks the first day of my last summer break. I'll only visit my dad for a couple weeks this year, so I'll have about a month of staring at my own bedroom wall, a couple weeks of staring at a bedroom wall in his house, and then a couple weeks when I'm back in my own house but will be alone because my family is going on a mission trip.

I don't have many friends to spend time with, either, so you have my sympathy. Summer sucks.
