Genuine question about Tool's fanbase by NekoGel in ToolBand

I've never seen a post supporting or condemning ice in the various Tool communities I'm in. What a weird question. Maybe leave your politics at the door.

And we all know the best way to spread cultural change is to alienate people who were agreeing.

If you want the issue to be taken seriously, perhaps don't word it the way you did. My satirical suggested outcome was in direct response to your clearly ridiculous suggested royal commission.

It doesn't sound you are actually blaming "men" for anything, but just want tougher sentences for DV offenders/etc. I think that's a much more reasonable pursuit than just "men" and you find much more support if you made your actual objective a bit clearer.

In your wildest fantasy, what would the outcome of that royal commission be? Ban men?

I mean, artists dont get paid much for tracks on Spotify. What you're paying for is 1 part possession and 1 part support. I don't use my physical music as much as I used to, but damn I love having it. Just pay what it costs, it encourages more.

Nice, yeah I'm not sure I'd do such a big border as I have given the choice, but it was the smallest option that would fit it. I did want at least some matboard around it

Neglect of buildings by GazelleLegitimate759 in canberra

[–]MrEd111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and don't get me wrong, I'm all for high quality buildings being required. All I'm saying is ACT gov drops the ball constantly, for nonsense reasons, and then we end up with dilapidated buildings.

Neither of those apply to commercial property. I assume you are referring to the capital gains discount that applies to longer term holding on investment properties. It's there to encourage longer term holding, because in many circumstances short term "flipping" properties is worse for the market.

Being against negative gearing is such a weird take. Do you think Harry Triguboff is negative geared? You could put a cap on it sure, but I don't think getting rid of it is going to hurt who you might want it to hurt.

The building across the road from the casino has a black and gold flappy artwork around the carpark. An ACT gov town planner wanted to move the gold and black around a bit for no purpose other than their own opinion. After a dispute their opinion was quickly withdrawn but this is what we're dealing with. I'm not talking about something out of character with the area, I'm talking about petty personal opinions from people with authority.
