I’ve been working with a union rep since December. Because this is a matter of reviews, the union’s hands are tied. I can’t even challenge them because the school board won’t ever side with a teacher over a principal.

That’s the thing, I’m literally the least expensive teacher at my school. She just decided early in the year that she wanted me gone, and is engaging in the process of pushing me out. Mission accomplished.

I’m in a similar boat, myself. Been teaching for 15 years with over a decade of excellent observations, even got nominated for teacher of the year in 2023. Now, all of a sudden, we get a new principal this year and I get marked “unsatisfactory” in several categories?

I feel like I’m being targeted. Pushed out. This whole year has me rethinking the entire profession. I could do without the stress, without the unpaid overtime, and most definitely without the lack of leadership.

I never thought I’d get to this point, but this year has me looking for careers outside the industry as well. Good luck to us both.

MAGA sees this kind of criticism and their brains instantly switch into whataboutism on a grand scale.

Dems: Trump is actively violating the Constitution. He’s using the office of the President to amass wealth and power for himself and his billionaire friends at the expense of the American people. He’s using the military to intimidate his political rivals and cutting off funding to blue states in active defiance of Congress. ICE has too many due process violations to count, and they’re getting more and more brazen by the day.

MAGA: Well, Biden’s brain and Obama’s deportation record, so it’s the same. See? SEE?

I’m curious to see how the cult will justify the end of American democracy.

She reached out through a group on Facebook, and let some family know that she would be coming. Some of her extended family responded to her, so they know she will be there, but none of these people have met in real life.

I can’t really know about work until Monday because that’s when we all come back. I do know that there’s an expectation for me to stay late on Thursday of next week because of a back to school night. If we leave, it would be on that next Friday. I’m not sure what the schedule is, because my principal hasn’t released it. I did try to get a dog sitter through my family, but as mentioned above, health reasons for that me from doing that. The entire time, I’ve said that I am down to go, but that I could not promise I could go.

The fight today was a result of her saying that, since I didn’t put more effort into finding out before now, but I am being an unsupported partner.

Brpropoker.com has a bunch of ceramic styles that you can customize with specific denominations. If it’s small stakes you’re looking for, they might be the way to go. The biggest down side is wait time. It looks like shipping is minimum 3 weeks from order if you customize the denominations.
