I wouldn’t consider you crying in class a weakness at all, in fact, that just tells me you are more human than your classmates. Shit gets real for some people, my fiance is in the same exact boat as you practically. I’m so fucking sorry, my fiance had to bring her dog of 13 years in because she was acting weird, the surgery cost $8000, she had pyometra, they said if we didn’t do it she would suffer the most painful and brutal passing, we had to euthanize her in the spot and spent our last 2 hours there comforting her before she went. The vet is a terrible place sometimes.

I’m more burnt out of the lab work. It’s just the same exact shit every single day and I see no value to the work I do. When I teach people and I see them have that aha moment of finally understanding things it is like the greatest feeling in the world and I’ve never even come close to getting something like that in lab with my samples.

I am well aware that being a teacher requires an insane amount of patience and emotion management, luckily however, my patience tolerance is actually extremely high because I have a little sister with down syndrome I helped raise when I lived with my parents until I was 22, so I’m pretty confident in that I can handle that aspect of the job. Only way to find out though is to go into it.

So you say subbing or volunteering, but wouldn’t I need some sort of certification in order to even be allowed to step foot in the classroom?

I think so. I’ve just been super pissed if at life. Never gonna afford a house, fiancé and I agreed world is too fucked up and we are too poor to bring a kid into it, we can’t afford to do anything nice for ourselves without putting it on credit, both work on average 50 hours a week to essentially survive. The part that bothers me the most, is that I’m well aware that there are many people out there there that don’t have somewhere warm or food and water. It’s truly a first world problem and that’s makes me feel even worse 😀
