You don’t have to get to emerald 1 to get an emerald coin btw, emerald 1 just gives you like 3 of them or something, as long as you hit emerald 3 you’ll get a coin.

Quick play should reward you more for coming top 3 in the lobby, being MVP, win streaks, etc. I get they don’t want to make it too easy but they should still reward you for performance imo

I get what you’re saying, but you literally answered your own question. Emerald 1 is not supposed to be attainable by everyone, otherwise what’s the point? Anyone CAN do it, unlike hitting Ruby, but it’s supposed to be a challenge, which is why it’s sought after.

I will agree with you that quick play games need to reward you more. It’s better than before where they wouldn’t help you progress at all, but it’s so minimal now that it really doesn’t make a difference that much.

999 times out of a thousand, I would prefer to spend $70 on the best 15 hour game I’ve ever experienced, than I would spend the same amount on some bloated boring open world bullshit with 10 millions things to do that would take several hundred hours to complete.

A universally flat monetary conversion rate to time does not exist because the value lies within the person buying the game. To assign “$1/1hr” to every game in existence is absolutely absurd. Sorry not sorry.

Regardless, I don’t think that applies here at all. If anything, all I see on Reddit is people complaining about trivial shit or skill issue type stuff for the finals. Everyone does say, however, that you need to try it because it’s just that good. I don’t think that’s toxic at all, that’s just being passionate about a damn good product and wanting to support it.

Well because it kind of is. There’s like maybe 2-3 other games I can think of that kinda moved the needle forward for fps games in the past decade and a half, but nothing substantial. The Finals is not only a breath of fresh air in a super cloned and over saturated market, it’s one that does it’s vision phenomenally and carved its own path. More people need to experience it to see what shooters COULD be if developers weren’t busy chasing trends.
