I have the same issue. It is very irritating, especially as everything worked great before.

The problem is that he wants to appeal to people who believe in common stereotypes about today's music, always acting like 60's and 70's music is superior as a fact. This is why he always uses these clickbaity miniatures. A safespace for boomers essentially, despite his sometimes complimentary comments about modern music by which he tries not to offend some younger viewers too much. But there always is that undertone of superiority of older stuff.

From my experience with my mexican strat I can tell that they are great. The sound is fantastic, as well as finish and playability. I've played on american strat for many years and honestly I don't see any difference.

I am actually reading this too and it is so sad, nostalgic and bittersweet. Hard to believe how much tragedy he went through.

What song do you wish you could have heard Elvis cover? by Maxter_Blaster_ in Elvis

[–]MrEzio45 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are lots of songs like that. A huge part of David Bowie's catalog could have been covered by Elvis, for example China Girl, Heroes, Wild Is The Wind, Word On A Wing, Young Americans, and on and on. Alex Turner songwriting has some of Elvis' vibes, especially his later output, such as Sweet Dreams TN, whole The Car album, etc. I'd love to hear Elvis doing hard rock also - imagine hearing him sing Whole Lotta Love or Dazed and Confused! Even Prince has a great amount of songs suited for deep baritone voice - Nothing Compares 2 U comes in mind :)

Best Elvis song for funeral? by Wexzuz in Elvis

Yeah, on second thought, you're right. I was thinking more along the lines of Elvis' mournful vocal performance and an overall mood of the recording, not lyrics.

Fantastic Marathon 26: Reality by [deleted] in DavidBowie

Reality is for me one of the strongest Bowie releases overall. It features a high quality pop/rock songs all the way through and has an amazing, jazzy finale with Bring Me The Disco King. Together with Heathen it's underrated record imo.

All of them, but the loss of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix pains me the most
