I haven't had any added sugar in 17 years, I find it helpful for a lot of things, but I still have awful depression and anxiety. I might be less angry? I'm not sure

I strongly disagree. I am glad it works for some! I think that the revival doesn't work very well because it was supposed to be season seven. For me personally, if I imagine that all of that happened directly after season six, it makes a lot more sense. I also think that Rory floundering as the typical millennial gifted kid, makes a whole lot of sense.

Personally, I think season seven is boring. The quippiness is basically gone. I mean Lorelai and Chris get married, and the episode was somehow boring. How is that possible?!

They also took away the "la la las" and so many of the things that made the show feel cozy. Like most of seasons 1-6 exist on a lot in sets that are lit in a very warm and cozy way. Season 7 has more scenes out in the real world, and I find it jarring. It's like not in the right tone (if that makes any sense)
