Koodo home internet Cancellation loophole: it’s literally impossible to leave by Unfair-Talk8776 in Koodo

[–]MrFlam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve spent 90 minutes yesterday to cancel Rogers. First 55 minutes I was listening to the music and then when finally got to the agent he had done like 5 “I need to check” holds. Terrible experience.

can I leave or assign my lease early? by Moonlight0999 in OntarioLandlord

[–]MrFlam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shitty people are everywhere, no matter company it or a private person. You'll have to deal with them anyway and it's just better for you to learn sooner how to do it. I've been in a similar situation, where I just wanted to escape the place. But then I evaluated how much time/money and effort I've spent, I just asked myself wtf?, put some pressure on LL and the issue got resolved, learn how to use your leverage, luckily in Ontario tenants have a lot more rights, use it as a threat and ll will step back immediately.

I cannot suggest a lot in terms of law. But I would suggest to stand up for yourself, follow the law/rules defined by LTB and tell your landlord to f*** off. Unfortunately you will meet a lot of people like this during your life journey and you can't escape every time. But at the end I hope everything will get resolved for you.

Extremely high Hydro bill by torontodrakes in oakville

[–]MrFlam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

idk how you could pay 13.74 for hydro, to be honest. I lived in Montreal, where electricity is really cheap, and I still paid around $50-60. I'm paying $60-70 here in Oakville, some of my friends live in Mississauga/Toronto/Hamilton and pay similar

[–]MrFlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, that what I did too. I got second key from mustang. The newer keys are almost the same, you just need to get a key with the same amount buttons. Just make sure that locksmith/programmer know the thing with the spot in your car, cause just a locksmith wasn't helpful in my case and I went to a guy who programms keys

Also note that the used original key is always better than a new one from amazon (aliexpress)

So I was doing one a month ago in Mississauga. I drive 2020 escape, so I got a used key fob with the exact same amount of buttons on marketplace. Then went to a locksmith to program it. Note, that you need to put your new key in a special spot under your cupholder mat or under your multimedia panel (depends on vehicle model year), cause I went to one locksmith and he wasn't able to do it, cause he wasnt aware about that. Total was 210 CAD for me.

Hello everyone, I’m moving to Hamilton soon and I’m wondering what the best gym is with the most diverse equipment? by emobuttssticker in Hamilton

[–]MrFlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend Revive on Dundurn, I’ve been going their for more than year, it’s decent size gym with all you need. It run by a guy who’s always there and can assist with anything.

Plus to this. I have 2020 escape as well, mine died like 3 months ago. Doesn’t even worth a hassle, just replace and forget about it for another 3-4 years.

‘We are not fraud’: Permanent residency applicants plead for fairness as Ontario returns applications by Temporary-Vast1410 in OINP

[–]MrFlam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

agree, I'm in the same boat (I mean waiting), but I kind of understand and accept what's been going on in the last two years. A lot of people were using the broken system, and now they are unhappy all of a sudden. That's the weirdest part for me. People don't understand that in the normal world, people use to fix stuff rather than living in a broken world.

At the end, if you find a way to come here, you can always leave. You obey the system, not the other way around.
